More information available in user profile
Give the administrator more control of the user profiles. I can see the users name, but I cannot see anything else about them and I cannot edit anything. I have a student who does not remember his user name. I cannot see his user name. Also, I cannot delete him. Users are stored in two places and in one of them you cannot delet them, so even though you delete them in one place, they are still in the other place and then they come back.

Lots of things
There are a whole host of things that I would like to have changed:
1) Please give us the ability to directly edit a student's info, I don't want to delete and re-add all the info again of said student if I have to edit something.
2) Give us the option to show all the students at the same time, I dislike the idea of scrolling through 10 pages in order to find a specific student.
3) With regards to number 2, the current search function doesn't appear to be working for me. I'd rather much prefer to see all…

Settings Menu
left menu from inside a course can be show/hide by instructor in course setting.
1 voteIrsandi, if I understand correctly you want to show/hide or change the order of the left menu in a course? You can do that now by clicking “settings” and then the navigation tab. Here is a screen shot:

Bring back the Feedback for exams for students
The exam feedback from the old system was invaluable for the students to be able to see what areas they were having difficulty with. They could restudy those areas before retaking the test. If they see the answers, they don't learn anything except the answer.

The Feedback for Exams for Students is available. If you uncheck the Student View Correct Answer, the item feedback for the incorrect answers are shown. This will need to be done for each assessment or this can be made default in your Activation Profile. Please let me know if you have questions. Thank you! -
Add a search feature to Manage Users
When looking for a particular user, it would be nice to have a search feature. I noticed it is all alphabetical which is nice; however with several pages of users, it would be nice to do a quick search and find a user.

How does the 'Check Existing' student work?
A student has finished Exploration 1 early so I want to put him straight into an Exploration 2 class I've created.
But it seems that I have to type all 3 fields (First name, family name, email address) before NetSpace will search for him and recognise him as an existing student? Seems that clicking the Check Existing link does nothing, and because the email address is mandatory the enrolment will not work. Being able to have NetSpace check on just a family name or student id would be would be very helpful.

This functionality has been delivered with the new assessment tool. Click on the link “Assessment Tool” in the left menu of your classroom. Then click on “Manage Activation” to see a list of all activated exams for the course.

Beta Feedback forum should allow attaching files
When providing feedback and suggestions it is often helpful to attach a file.

Create own default activation, batch activation and increase max activation
- I should want to create own default activation.
- I should want to activate all module eaxms in the same time
- There were max activation time 30 days in Discovery 1, byt only 7 days in Discovery 2, others I haven't yet checked :-(
- Connection to system works very very slow, I tried in several places and connection speeds.

'Country' be changed to "Country/Region" on Profile Page
Request that the User Profile Page section for 'Country' be changed to "Country/Region". Due to the following:
"It is politically sensitive to have China, HK, Macao, and Taiwan listed under the same list of "Country". We have the similar setting in old AC."

Student Initial login
We have had multiple requests today from the Support Desk were Instructor do not like having to use emails for student initial registration. Some students are in high school and do not have school emails, and do not have access to personal emails from school. Instructors also mentioned that some students so not have internet access at home so it is a hassle to get students registered. They would like it more like AC where instructors see the initial id and initial password.
27 votesNetSpace now has the ability to use seat tokens to add students to a course. The student information is not needed by the instructor to generate seat tokens.

CSV Upload and Student addition
The csv file upload should verify the correct format prior to taking the submission. We had an instructor upload an incorrect format and it's been hard to resolve!
It would also be great to be able to add students under the current class. We should not have to go back to netspace home to do that.

Sorry for the hassle with the CSV upload Greg. We’re working on enhancing that functionality now and will add this to the list.
As far as adding students under the current class, we’re looking at ways to reduce the number of clicks so you don’t have to go back to NetSpace home. -

getting an HTTP 401 error every time
I cannot access the IT Essentials online course material, activate assessments or assignments. I get an error very time. It is an HTTP 401 error. I have logged it with the help desk but it is unsolved after a week. The error is as follows:
message Invalid signature for signature method HMAC-SHA1. It also mention Apache Tomcat.
Any suggestions/ideas from the development team, please? I cannot run my classes because of this error.

Adding via search - a list not one at a time!
Just make the Netspace work like CNAMS when enrolling - search, select, search select, search select SUBMIT....NOT search select submit, search select submit, search select submit - this one at a time stuff is a pain
67 votesThis functionality is now in place. You can show up to 50 students on a page, select as many as you want and enroll them with one click. If you want to move to the next page to select more, the system will ask if you want to enroll those already selected before proceeding. If you click yes they will be enrolled as you move to the next page.

Instructors need to know when a student has completed the registration process
An instructor cannot tell when a student has not completed the registration process. Students may not complete the registration process at home like they should, since the information is sent in an email to their home accounts.

Great suggestion James. We’re working on some things that I think will address this and give you insight into when students have completed registration.

Instructors need to be able to reset a student's password.
Instructor need to be able to reset a student's password. High school students do not have access to their home email in school. If a student is not prepared to take a test, he or she will say they do not remember their password. Knowing the instructor cannot reset the password, students will use this weakness. In our school district teachers are not allowed to collect student passwords for security reasons.

instructors can request course completion certificates for their students
I didn't find course completion certificates in netspace. It would be great if course completion certificates request will be addedd in netspace.

Si la gestion des sessions mieux contrôler comme dans NetAcad.
En effet, je me suis connecter sur la plate forme à partir de mon ordinateur portable, il y a de cela plus de 3 jours. Aujourd'hui, en essayant d'ouvrir ma session sur NetSpace, j'ai remarqué qu'il m'a connecté sans me demander de m'authentifier.
Je trouve que ceci pourrais constituer une faille pour le piratage des comptes.
