Instructors need to be able to reset a student's password.
Instructor need to be able to reset a student's password. High school students do not have access to their home email in school. If a student is not prepared to take a test, he or she will say they do not remember their password. Knowing the instructor cannot reset the password, students will use this weakness. In our school district teachers are not allowed to collect student passwords for security reasons.
James, this is now available using the settings icon next to the course name on the NetSpace home page. Thanks for your feedback.

I agree with Susan, first course is a nightmare and the next one is not better. Many student have forgot their password, try to use the "forgot password" link but never receive the mail.
Also, Since student can change their username, many dosen't remember what they put during registration.
Is it possible to add the login name in the student list? That will be very usefull too!

Susan,
Thanks for the clarification. We're working on some things now that I think will help in the short term. One of the first things you will see is an ability for instructors to resend the email invites. We're also working on an enrollment proces that doesn't require student email addresses. We'll keep you up to date on those and other enrollment process enhancements as we roll them out. -

Yes! New students are unaware of the automated message containing their username/passwords and delete the message because they don't know what it is. The result is the first day of class is a nightmare trying to get everyone logged in. Also, if students have not updated their emails in our system, they never received their username/password because we didn't have the correct email in the first place. I had my course set up, but published it a day before the class starts, so I think students would be more likely to still have the information in their email.
