Packet tracer for mac
Would it be possible to bring packet tracer to mac platforms ,most students with apple laptops miss out

Packet Tracer is now available for Android devices and there are currently no plans to have PT for MAC, a current workaround is to use WNE on MAC. -
Link Calendar to show Exam activations
The Calendar is a nice addition to Netspace, but there are several issues with it.
Very often, the Edit & Delete buttons are missing from a "Due Chapter n exam". Only "Full Details" is present.
The Calendar does not necessarily reflect the date and time a chapter exam is set - there is no feed-forward or back between the Calendar and the Activation screens. Very misleading!
There appears to be no simple way of determining when and which chapter exams are active. This should surely be available as a list and also shown on the Calendar.

With the Activation Tool, you now have the ability to view your activations in one place and batch activate your chapter exams. At this time, we are not planning to link the calendar in the classroom to exam activations.

CCNP
Want to appeal to cisco not to discontinue CCNP Academy program because more and more Nigeria are now aware of it. Like am current running my CCPN Instructor program with UNIJOS Nigeria and once am done am ready to open up on market by teaching it. Again Cisco should encourage us by making the curriculum material available like CCNA and if possible bring back the voucher if not 100% but there should be a voucher. am LIVING E EMIDOMA form Nigeria just want to make common sense.thank you!!!

We do provide same level of support for CCNP R&S 7 as for CCNP R&S v6. The development of CCNP R&S curriculum is a collaboration between Cisco Networking Academy and CiscoPress, it is to ensure we could offer up-to-date curriculum in a timely manner when certification exam changes. CiscoPress offers Foundation Learning Guide books and ebooks that could support teach the new CCNP R&S. There are also additional learning materials provided by Learning@Cisco that could support instructor teaching and student self-study in the Cisco Learning Network: https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/community/certifications/ccnp
We do not have plans to extend voucher program to CCNP R&S, current voucher program only apply to CCNA R&S and CCNA Security. -
Allow instructors to disable packet tracer in assignments
Whilst Packet tracer is a great learning aid. Packet tracer is proving a huge issue to many colleges when it comes to the continuous update cycles and java update requirements. When you add to that the challenge of getting ASDM and SDM to coexist with their Java foibles, it seams we are having to get our IT support team to update and reimage PCs in our Cisco classrooms almost daily.

Managing "Zombie" Assignment activations
Presently, if an assignment activation reaches its end date while there is an Incomplete attempt on file, the assignment will be automatically switched to "Instructor must re-enable". As soon as the Instructor re-enables it (manually), the exam becomes active for just 24 hours. In practice, this leads to a "ping-pong" between instructor re-enabling the assignment, student trying to complete his attempt 25 hours later, asking the instructor to re-enable again, and so on.

Assessment server for CCNA Voice & Certificate
There is a great need for an Assessment Server for the
curricula "CCNA Voice" !

Default and Batch Publication of Quizes
Now that it seems that Chapter Quizes are no longer available by default when a course is published (I didn't see any notification of this "new feature") two problems need to be addressed.
(1) As the Attachment-01 shows there is an inconsistency between the little green cloud icons on the Course Modules page, which denote that the item is published, when in fact for Quizes, none are published and consequently students cannot access them.
Only after the green cloud is clicked to "unpublish" an item does it then turn grey - but it

Please include Nexus NX-OS in the new and upcoming CCNP curricula.
With the current CCNP courses you can NOT work in a modern datacenter with cisco equipment (:-(

Community Forum Etiquette
The community forums are full of one, two or three word postings containing "thanks", "thanks a lot" and many other contributions that are not related to the topic. The lack of use of the "like" button by community members has lead to long threads that cause members to scroll through many posting that contribute nothing to the topic in order to find meaningful content.
These forums need moderation. The members that make these one, two or three word comments cannot seem to help themselves and we are unable to educate them on forum usage.

Create a grade book similar To Academy Connection
We need one place we as instructors can observe the grades and complete the students course certificate and letters.
In the Academy Connection this could be easily done, however in Net Space you have to go to the gear symbol then back to the grade book to accomplish what we did in the Academy Connection grade book.21 votesNetAcad now has a more robust gradebook functionality and few users used the gradebook in Academy Connection. Currently there is no functionality to be able to integrate the certificates link into the gradebook. It will need to be done from the ‘NetSpace Home’ page on the Course Management page.

Instructor signature
I would like to propose instructor embedded facsimile of my signature in the certificate on for personal signing option in certificate, because student left this college after they can download their certificate with my embedded facsimile of my signature in netacad login any where in the world.
20 votesThanks, Nizamudeen, for the feedback, however, we are unable to alter the system for this currently. We suggest that the student scans the signed certificate and save for future reference if they would like a digital copy with a signature.
Also as the instructor when you download the certificates, in Adobe, you have the ability to add a signature. You can add the signature, save, and then email to the student.

Concluding a Course
Could you add the functionality to conclude a course after the course end date has passed? It seems more secure to not have to extend the end date of a course before you conclude it.

1. Go to the course home page.
2. Click on ‘Settings’ in the lower left side of the page.
3. Click on ‘Permanently Delete this Course’.
4. Click on ‘conclude the course instead’.
5. Click on ‘Conclude Course’

Quiz-maker: Question details not available when more than 25 !
Please make "question details" available when creating tests with more then 25 questions. Proofreading is really hard now.

For the time being this is not something that Canvas plans on changing. This is to prevent page load times from spiking too high for the larger quizzes.
Please know, this is a core Canvas issue that exists in all instances and not just NetSpace, due to page load times.
An alternative is to break up the question banks (create smaller banks), possibly by topics or another category.

Wireless Controller Simulation in new version of PT
It seems to me that everything goes wirelless...
Have you planned the implemetation of a wireless controller device in the Packet Tracer?

PT is designed to focus on basic networking technologies and concepts, it is not a replacement for real equipment. We will evaluate more wireless equipment for future releases.

Restrict student enrollments in different order than CCNA R&S Course 1, Course 2, Course 3 and Course 4
Currently, the Cisco NetAcad platform don't have any restrictions in this regard and it is possible for a student to be enrolled in class CCNA R&S course 4, to request and receive voucher for certification without the study courses 1, 2 and 3.

Hide Columns in 'New Gradebook'
The old gradebook view has a 'Hide Column' option for each column, it doesnt work, however the New gradebook doesnt have this option at all. It would be nice to hide some columns using both New or Old gradebook.

Instutution student ID or email in gradebook download
It would be very helpful if the institution student ID, screen name, and email was included in the gradebook downlaod. I have used Canvas before, so I know this is possible. I went through the trouble of making sure all of my (130+) students used their college username as their institution ID, and as their username. This was to allow for seamless transition between the Blackboard gradebook and the Netspace gradebook. If people don't want the extra information, it's easy enough to delete after downloading.
