Managing "Zombie" Assignment activations
Presently, if an assignment activation reaches its end date while there is an Incomplete attempt on file, the assignment will be automatically switched to "Instructor must re-enable". As soon as the Instructor re-enables it (manually), the exam becomes active for just 24 hours. In practice, this leads to a "ping-pong" between instructor re-enabling the assignment, student trying to complete his attempt 25 hours later, asking the instructor to re-enable again, and so on.
As soon as an incomplete attempt is recorded, the "remove activation" tickbox is greyed out, so the instructor cannot easily remedy this situation (in fact, the only way to deactivate an "incomplete" assignment is to masquerade as this particular student and end the attempt on the student´s behalf - I think I need not state that I absolutely dislike doing that).
I would very much prefer if the instructor was given the ability to deactivate an assignment even with an incomplete attempt pending (maybe inserting the preliminary score into gradebook) and provide a clean reactivation afterwards.

There is only checkbox for re-enabling incomplete assessments. It opens 24h time window from the moment when it is checked by the instructor.
It is very unconvenient namely during holiday periods, because it is difficult to synchronise students and instructors time possibilities.
Would it be possible to manage the time window for the re-activation of incomplete exams? -

It may happens that some students have incomplete assessment.
At the moment, we need to re-enable the incomplete assessment and ask our students to correctly complete and submit it. This is time consuming. Please, add the ability for the instructor to de-activate/reset incomplete assessment without students intervention. -

I don't know why people are not voting for this. We have this problem all the time. The most occurring scenario is when a student is taking the course for the second time and he has an incomplete assessment in the old one.

I support the idea, having in mind the situation with the PT SBA assignments, available for activation in any of the four CCNA modules; I have a case with an SBA assignment uncompleted in CCNA2, which I can't activate now in CCNA 3, because it's locked in the former module, and if the last was archived, ....?
