Allow instructors to disable packet tracer in assignments
Whilst Packet tracer is a great learning aid. Packet tracer is proving a huge issue to many colleges when it comes to the continuous update cycles and java update requirements. When you add to that the challenge of getting ASDM and SDM to coexist with their Java foibles, it seams we are having to get our IT support team to update and reimage PCs in our Cisco classrooms almost daily.
If the instructor could choose not to include the packet tracer activities in the assignments, then it would reduce the pressure to continuously reimage our classroom machines and reduce the burden of our IT support department who do have the other 99% of PCs to look after too.

Currently students have the ability to press "Skip" to prevent loading of the PT questions at the beginning of an exam. Instructors can tell students to use this option if they do not want the student to use the Packet Tracer Assessments or if the students are having difficulties getting these types of exams to load. Instructors can also regrade the exam in the Gradebook if needed. Note: Packet Tracer assessment items have already been removed from all Final exams. - NetAcad Support

I would prefer if Cisco moved away from JAVA AND FLASH. Both of these are so problematic.
