Upgrade the NetAcad & Curriculum Lead's Rights.
I have Two ideas:
1st- It's very important to "the NetAcad Contact or the Curriculum Lead" to see in a simple page all the classes that are create and the instructors that are teaching in these classes. This will be very helpful for
2nd- Is to develop a page where the curriculum Lead can use to manage Instructors and the classes they are teaching. So, in case that one Instructor is occupied by (sickness, got a new job in other enterprise, died, etc.), the curriculum Lead can enroll or add new qualified instructor…
1 voteNetAcad Contact’s will have the ability to view (1) by:
1. Click on the name of the academy from the ‘Manage’ tab on the ‘NetSpace Home’ page.
2. Scroll over ‘Courses & Groups’ and click on the name of the academy under ‘Managed Accounts’.
*From here you will be able to click on ‘Courses’ to see a list of courses and their instructors.You will also be able to see (2) by going to the ‘Manage’ tab and clicking on ‘View or Add Enrollments’. Here you will be able to select the academy and course you want to view at that academy in order to ‘Add Students/Instructors’ to the course.

Create resources to recruit new instructors
I'd love to hear what other partners are doing to recruit new instructors. It is becoming very difficult to fill Academy openings in our region--mostly because the IT sector in government and private companies offers higher salaries than in the field of education--and I want to reach recent college grads and others who might want to teach. Anybody got any ideas?

Community Forum Etiquette
The community forums are full of one, two or three word postings containing "thanks", "thanks a lot" and many other contributions that are not related to the topic. The lack of use of the "like" button by community members has lead to long threads that cause members to scroll through many posting that contribute nothing to the topic in order to find meaningful content.
These forums need moderation. The members that make these one, two or three word comments cannot seem to help themselves and we are unable to educate them on forum usage.
Please allow or appoint some community…

Default and Batch Publication of Quizes
Now that it seems that Chapter Quizes are no longer available by default when a course is published (I didn't see any notification of this "new feature") two problems need to be addressed.
(1) As the Attachment-01 shows there is an inconsistency between the little green cloud icons on the Course Modules page, which denote that the item is published, when in fact for Quizes, none are published and consequently students cannot access them.
Only after the green cloud is clicked to "unpublish" an item does it then turn grey - but it

New Interface
Applies across the board with the Cisco Acedemy.
The interface is terrible and seems to get worse with every iteration. Yes people are not the type you want to use to test interface design. You just end up with the pile of non-sense that is now the Cisco Academy.

Only allow students to access NetAcad thru 1 browser at a time
There is a potential cheating opportunity by students because they can have some else in the world log into their NetAcad ID and write their exams/test while the official student is pretending to write the exam/test. If a student was only allowed to log into 1 browser at a time then some else would not be able to use the same ID at the same time.

Can some one send us a video or any document that help instructor really instruct student about how to set a ST or other type of fiber cable

Students Employment Status
I suggest to add an "Update your Job status & Employer " for students so that students can update their job status and instructors/Admins can filter and contact those students who haven't find a Job yet. This will be beneficial for all academies over the world and will help us to know real statistics regarding employment of the academy graduates in each country. It will be also great if we can add to the locator section " Find a Cisco Academy graduate " tab so that Employers can filter academy graduates for a specific course / within a specific criteria…

Need ability to access more information on a student
As an academy Manager/Curriculum Lead I would like to look-up a student in my academy and get information about the classes he/she attended during hi/her time in the academy. Sometimes we are asked for information about a student who took a course, say 3 years ago and we fail to give sufficient information about them because the student in question should not be involved. This could be an employer who wants to know a potential employees track record.
This puts an academy in a weak position and it sometimes tarnishes an academy's image.
1 voteHello Ruhuma, NetAcad Contact’s will have the ability to see the courses their students are enrolled in by following these steps below:
1. Log in to your Cisco NetSpace account at www.netacad.com
2. From the ‘NetSpace Home’ page, click on the ‘Manage’ tab.
3. Click on the name of your academy under ‘Manage Your Institutions’ section.
4. Scroll over ‘Courses & Groups’ and click on the name of your academy under ‘Managed Accounts’.
5. From here you will be able to click on ‘Users’ to search or click on their names to see what they have been enrolled in or currently enrolled in.-NetAcad Support

stop access to assessments from different devices simultaneously
If multiple attempts is enabled in assessment activation, same account can be logged in and perform the test simultaneously on different devices. This issue violates the reliability of the assessments. It is much better if logins are limited to one device only. So same accounts can not be accessed from different devices at the same time.
1 voteWhen you create an ‘advanced activation’ you will be able to select ‘approve additional attempts’ if you are worried about students logging in with multiple devices during an exam.

URGENT: Announcements seem no longer working
My students say that they are no longer receiving Announcements, neither related to Exams, not generated by me to inform them on news on the course. It seems this happened after the Netacad Home-page was changed recently.
Marco.1 voteThere was an issue which has been resolved. If your students are still not receiving notifications please have them follow these steps to ensure that they have verified their email address in the system in order to be able to receive them:
1. Log in to Cisco NetSpace at netacad.com.
2. Click on your name in the upper-right corner.
3. In your profile, under ‘Notification Preferences’, click on ‘Change Classroom Notifications’.
4. On this page, in the ‘Conversations’ section, make sure that preferences have been set. The best option would be the checkmark for ‘Notify me right away’.
From here, to verify your email address:
5. Click on ‘Settings’ on the left.
6. On the right, click on your email address.
7. Click ‘Re-Send Confirmation’.
8. Please be sure the message appears that says “Done! Message may take a few minutes”.
9. Close the pop-up box by clicking “Ok, Thanks”… -
Webex give way to cisco academies be able to give interactive courses.
The possibility for cisco academies to use webex as a learning platform.

Cybersecurity Course EOC Assessment -> default activation change
The default activation should be changed so that students are NOT able to see correct answers.

STOP concluding classes automatcially
Stop concluding classes automatically!!! Or have it do it 10 or 15 days after the end date
This is a VERY frustrating "feature" and causes undue work.
For example, not all students print their certificates - right away. So, I get several e-mails asking why they can't, and I have to go in and re-enable the class, AND, answer all the e-mails.
Also, when a student needs and extension, again, I have to go in and re-enable the class.
1 voteHello Rick, thank you for your feedback. The functionality has not changed when an end date is reached, the course is simply moved to the ‘Show Concluded’ side. It still has the same functionality as if you let the end date passed and still accessed the course from the ‘active’ section, but now you can access it from the ‘Show Concluded’ section as to free up room instructors wanted on their ‘active’ section. Students will still be able to access course completion certificates of a course that has the end date passed or even has been manually concluded by the instructor. They will do so from their profile page, if they can’t, then you will want to ensure that you have marked the student as ‘pass’ in the gradebook first. You can still activate exams and students can click on their ‘View Course History’ link to access the courses and…

When creating course, let the instructor choose the defaut academy proposed in the list
When I click on "create a course", the Academy that appears by default in the form is the first of the list created by alphabetical order. I never use this one. I often forgot to change it, so I'm obliged to delete the course and to create it again within the correct academy, as it is not editable ! It would be nice to give instructors the opportunity to select the default choice.

Ability to change certificates language
Hi,
I am IT Essential 5.0 instructor.One group of students already finished a course and Certificate of Completion have been generated automatically in Russian language,because the course language was Russian.I wrote to netspace support team and they answered to me that is not possible to generate a certificates in different language because the course were in Russian language.
I think a posibility of generating Certificates and letters of merit in different languages that course got will be wonderfull for those students which have to find a job in foreighn countries4 votes -
