URGENT: Announcements seem no longer working
My students say that they are no longer receiving Announcements, neither related to Exams, not generated by me to inform them on news on the course. It seems this happened after the Netacad Home-page was changed recently.

There was an issue which has been resolved. If your students are still not receiving notifications please have them follow these steps to ensure that they have verified their email address in the system in order to be able to receive them:
1. Log in to Cisco NetSpace at netacad.com.
2. Click on your name in the upper-right corner.
3. In your profile, under ‘Notification Preferences’, click on ‘Change Classroom Notifications’.
4. On this page, in the ‘Conversations’ section, make sure that preferences have been set. The best option would be the checkmark for ‘Notify me right away’.
From here, to verify your email address:
5. Click on ‘Settings’ on the left.
6. On the right, click on your email address.
7. Click ‘Re-Send Confirmation’.
8. Please be sure the message appears that says “Done! Message may take a few minutes”.
9. Close the pop-up box by clicking “Ok, Thanks” or clicking the X in the corner of the pop-up box.
10. Go to the email’s inbox for the account.
11. There should be an email from netacadnotifications@instructure.com with the subject line “Instruture Canvas Confirm Email”
12. Open this email and click the link “Click here to confirm this registration” toward the bottom of the email
13. If already logged into Cisco NetSpace, the link should take you back to the settings page and a message should appear at the top in green that says, “Registration Confirmed”. If not logged in, enter login information and then user will be taken to the settings page.
This will then allow them to receive the notifications.
