Roll roster from one class to the next
I would like to roll the roster from one class to the next. Since the same students typically take the courses in the sequence scheduled it would make it easier if the same roster could be rolled over to the next scheduled class.

Good news, there is now a way to enroll students in subsequent courses. This can be done by downloading a CSV and uploading it to the next course. The tutorial is available under Program => NetSpace Tutorials, then click on NEW Re-enroll Students. I hope this helps.

Ability to EMAIL to all students
Just like Blackboard, the ability to send an e-mail to everyone is important for notification purposes

NetSpace allows you to send messages to your students within the InBox in the top right corner of your classroom. You can either send individual messages or if you’d like to send the same message to your entire class, simply start typing the name of the course. You’ll see your course name pop up and you can then message all students in that course.

Adjust Time Allowed for Assignments feature in default activation profile
In the Activation tool there is no way to adjust the time allowed for assignments. There is no way to adjust the assignment duration allowed in the default activation profile.
The only way I can adjust the time allowed for an assignment is to create assignments one by one using the advanced settings. That's if I want the students to be allowed more than the default 1 hour.

In the Activation Tool, you can create an Activation Profile, which will allow you to set the duration for an activation and this will become the default for future activations in this course. This profile can also be copied to future course offerings. Please view the New Activation Tool tutorial for more information. Thank you! -
Instructor to download highest, median and lowest score on online final exam
It would be a good idea if Instructors have the permission to download exam papers for students whom scored highest, median and low scores. Some Institution require this for external moderation courses.

Quizz activation tool
Can we be provided with a quiz activation tool like we have for chapter assessments. The Internet cheating of chapter exams has reached an unbearable point, and the only way to overcome this is for instructors to create their own chapter exams using the quiz tool provided in NetSpace

Make the recognition program searchable by name or school.
Hi All,
If I want to locate myself under years of service, my only search options are: Award Type, Year, and Region. That narrows down the list to about 10 pages, more for people with fewer years of service. It would be nice if I could locate people by their name or school instead of having to search through multiple pages manually.

Using tags to eliminate information / collaboration silos
It's unfortunate to see the plethora of file / forum silos artificially designated. One communications stream for teachers, one for students, with tags, and filtering views would be far better, simpler, and useful. This is, after all, no longer the 90's with Blackboard style silos for every forum. Separate file areas for every interest? Put them in a single place, tag them and then sort to view. What if there was a unique twitter feed for every hash tag? If you wanted to use two tags, you had to post, then follow, two individual feeds? How last century!

Make the Inbox available from the home screen without having to go into one of my classes
My Academy runs multiple classes, but to check my Inbox I have to enter one of these classes, but the message might not be from a student from that class so I then have to go to another class to action any request they are making. wouldn't it be more productive to have access to the Inbox from the home screen?

Assessment Summary
In the old gradebook you could compare how your students were going in comparison to the rest of the world by item as well as by total score.
At the moment you can only see the comparison by item, not by total, so it is far less obvious and you have to view each item individually. It would be very helpful to include the display of the average total marks as well.1 vote -

When I try to access the drop down headings, the drop down disappears when I try to select an option. For example, I cannot choose CCNA under Offerings.

Have the student Lab Manual and student packet tracer lab manual available to download as single pdf files
In previous CCNA courses, the student Lab manuals were available as single pdf files, but are currently only available as individual source files.
Could the student Lab manuals for ccna R+S be made available as single pdf files similar to the instructor versions?

We decided not create student lab/PT manuals in preference to the embedded form-fillable documents within the course.
In deference to instructor requirements, we do make the individual labs available should it be desirable to print a lab. Also, Cisco Press will be releasing the respective course Lab Manuals soon should there be a need to have a hardcopy of the lab.

Add a link to classes that allows students & instructors to be added/deleted
Adding a link to the class screen to allow direct access to editing of the class list (and instructor list) would be a big help on some occasions. Having to navigate out of a class to find the 'gear-wheel' seems to be a little bit of a time-waster. Perhaps an option something like the old 'Roster' heading (or at least a 'gearwheel' within the class screen) would be a big help.

Students' Certificates should include the student ID for verification
If the students' IDs are printed in their certificates along with student name, institution name, etc and if a portal is made available at Netspace for the public through which the students' certificate could be verified by their employers, it would be very much helpful. We have received this feedback from our students and their employers and we also support this idea.

To Permit the Calculcation of Grades on a 9 Week (Quarter) Basis
Grades are calculated at the high school level as follows:
1st Quarter -- 37.5%
2nd Quarter -- 37.5%
Final Exam -- 25%Within each quarter we have the following assignment categories:
1) Classwork
2) Labs
3) Quizzes
4) Tests/Chapter ExamsBased on my current understanding we cannot configure our categories to meet this requirement.
My Idea is to be able to tag specific categories to a given quarter within the semester.

In the ITN Curriculum, why is the Transport Layer Chapter 7 between the Network Layer Chapter (6) and IP Addressing Chapters (8 & 9)?
Cover all Layer 3 Chapters consecutively like you do in the NB Curriculum.

Add personal cisco ID to instructor sign on certificate
Any Networking Academy instructor has Cisco industrual certificate and personal Cisco ID. I suggest add that ID to the instructor sign and may be student Academy ID to the certificate because there is only names on the current certificate and students don't have information where are they - the 1000th or 1000000th among the others.

View your CCENT, CCNA Practice and Skills exam averages plotted against other Academies across our region.
In analytics I would like to be able to see the average scores from other academies in my region and compare them to my academy, the academy names should not be identified, just regional averages.

Date as Printed on Certificate - Date when Passed Status Awarded
As of the moment, the date shown on the certificate is when students actually click the get certificate button. Will it be possible to have the date on the certificate based on the date the instructor issued a Passed Status on the student and not on the date student clicks the get certificate button?
