  1. Deactivate ALL activations when a course is deleted

If you activate exams in a class and then need to delete the class for whatever reason, the activations still remain active. This creates 'Inactive' status in another class once created. It would be nice to have all activations automatically deactivated when a course is deleted.

  3. Be consistent about language preference

I just activated three exams (for a single class). Two had English as the last choice in the list.
One had English as the first choice.

The local language should always appear first. (and always in the same position)

  4. Calendar options

There needs to be a way to set the classes that show up in the calendar. I have a list of classes (some old ones) that show in the area to check for displaying in the calendar. I would like to see only current classes. Is there a way to close out old classes so they do not show?

Also, between the new and old calendar there seems to be an issue. I was posting in the old one and the students were in the new one and their assignments were showing the next day.

  5. Exam feedback

Students should be able to review all the questions and answers on an exam just not the ones that got wrong. It is a learning tool.

    Hi Andrea,

Not sure if you saw Telethia’s comment below:

Instructors have the flexibility to allow the students to review just missed questions or all questions in their item feedback report. After clicking on the exam link, you can click on Student Performance Summary. There are a set of options at the top left of the page that can be toggled on an off. Uncheck Students View Only Missed Questions.

    Thank you,
    Kimberly

  6. What is the purpose of the non-required "Student ID" field in the ADD new student form???

Why is there a non-required field in the ADD New Student form and the CSV upload for inputting the Student ID ( a local academy derived identifying number)? This Student ID is never visible or accessible, it just disappears. You can not search for existing students using the Student ID. You can not see it in the student profile or enrollment screen. So, why are we having instructors input these if they serve no purpose?

    Hi Dwight,
We actually will be removing that field until we can further develop and analyze the Institution Student ID functionality.
    Thank you for your feedback.
    Best,

  7. Student's profile pic should display in Discussion forum.

Student's have the ability to upload a picture or avatar, but it does not show up when they post in the discussion forum. I imagine the feature is already built into the product, please enable it.

  9. I need to see all classesand activity in my ASC Domain

When I get calls from instructors that need help it is necessary and useful if I could see all classes, instructors and enrolled students. My Manages tab is useless as far as I am concerned and also not up to date.

The benefit is that it would unload the helpdesk and make my ASC add value to the ASC fee that local academies that pay each year.

  10. conclude a course

I can no longer find conclude a course. Looking to remove some of my old course so they do not keep showing up - like in the calendar and course list. These are old course (almost a year old). I see a button to show concluded course but no way to conclude a course. Steps in another thread do not work.

    Hi Greg,
In order to conclude the course, you will need to modify the end date of the course. Once this is done, Conclude this Course will appear. There is a tutorial available, from the NetSpace home page, click on Program, NetSpace Tutorials then Conclude a Course. I hope this helps!
    Thank you,
    Kimberly

  11. Is there a way to copy the assignment shell (then modify any changes) from one course to another

Right now I have to copy and paste line for line of any content already existing in the Assignments tab on NetSpace from course to course. It would be nice if there was a WIZARD to do this. Just saying.

    Hi Gay,
Currently, the Liferay Help menu offers chat, while Canvas does not. We will be working to get this fixed in the future. Thank you for your post!

  14. For IT Essentials 1, to allow the Chapters 1-6 test to be assigned a percentage of assessment and grouped with the Online Exam (with differe

For ITE1, the Chapter 1-6 assessment is often used as a halfway assessment by teachers of this subject. But it cannot be dragged to the Final Exam grouping and each be given an independent weighting (for some reason).

Improving this function would greatly improve the usefulness of this section.

    Hello,
I’m not sure if you saw Thanh Le’s comment, so I’m posting it here:

The glossary feature was removed from the CCNA R&S curriculum due to the low level of usage and to allow us to focus our resources on the curriculum, assessments, Packet Tracer activities, and enhancements such as mobile access. We will revisit the prioritization of this feature if it becomes more important to the NetAcad community.

    Thank you,
    Kimberly

  17. To be informed soon, as the Errata for CCNA v5 Curricula are available

I spent 15 to 20 minutes to: look for any Errata List for the new CCNA v5 Curricula, open a chat with the Support to verify that it was not yet available, explain the error I would like to highlight, discuss on how to be informed on such Errata availability, conclude that a Share Idea could be a good Idea, so... here I am. Can you publish a News to all NetSpace users, when such Errata List will be opened and made available, along with the relevant path to access it? Tnx in adv!

    Hi Marco,

The support process for new ITE and CCNA curricula has been improved for faster response on many types of issues.

Errors in interactive content (text, media, labs, PT activity instructions), supplemental resources, and exam (critical only) and are validated and immediately corrected. Validated issues for assessments and Canvas pages are compiled and published as errata by the Global Support Desk in NetSpace, and included in the next course release—usually within 1-3 months.

As you review and teach the new CCNA R&S courses, please submit your feedback with the context—e.g. ITN course, page 2.1.4.5, issue description—to the Support Desk so we can validate and resolve them as quickly as possible for all students and instructors to receive benefit. It is very helpful if you check the assessment errata first when submitting those types of errors to prevent duplicate reporting.

    Thank you for your support.

  18. Adding binary scoring back into the Gradebook

In Network Connection, the Gradebook gave us the option to display grades in a binary summary format, instead of a percentage score as it is now. I would like to have that option included back into the current Gradebook. I use my own grading scale and now for each test score I will need to calculate each grade for each student, which is an extreme expenditure of time.
    Many thanks

    Jeff

  19. Editable Lab Manuals

My students take the courses via an online course through our college. In previous versions I could easily convert the Student Lab Manual PDFs to a Word document. This allowed my students to electronically fill out the labs and submit them. The new PDFs, however, are not editable nor do they convert to Word well (they come up all jumbled, no matter how I do them). Can we please get editable labs so that students can electronically fill them out and submit them? Either PDFs with fields to fill in or a Word document (or similar) would be fantastic!

    Hi Joanna,
The editable Student PDFs are available from the instructor home page in the course. Once in your course, click on Instructor Home (under the page list). Click on the Instructor Resources for IT Essentials link. There you will find the Student Lab PDF files.

This is also available by clicking on the Offerings tab from the NetSpace home page, IT Essentials and Access Resources at the bottom of the page.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you,
    Kimberly
