Turkish Language Option of Cisco NetSpace
Hi All,
We first submitted the Turkish Languages Cisco Netspace about selection "Share Idea" on Jan 23, 2014. Canvas Instructure system has completed the transition to the Turkish Language. We have a request of Turkish translation of Cisco Netspace to Instructure after supporting the implementation of Canvas. You may Netspace Cisco scheduled this issue.Thanks

Having several sections within the same class
On Netspace it is possible to define groups of students for grading assignments but it would be even better if the groups of students could be managed as a separate section of the same class.
The class can share content and material, but assignments and dates could be different for different groups.

Default and Batch Publication of Quizes
Now that it seems that Chapter Quizes are no longer available by default when a course is published (I didn't see any notification of this "new feature") two problems need to be addressed.
(1) As the Attachment-01 shows there is an inconsistency between the little green cloud icons on the Course Modules page, which denote that the item is published, when in fact for Quizes, none are published and consequently students cannot access them.
Only after the green cloud is clicked to "unpublish" an item does it then turn grey - but it

Quiz-maker: Question details not available when more than 25 !
Please make "question details" available when creating tests with more then 25 questions. Proofreading is really hard now.

For the time being this is not something that Canvas plans on changing. This is to prevent page load times from spiking too high for the larger quizzes.
Please know, this is a core Canvas issue that exists in all instances and not just NetSpace, due to page load times.
An alternative is to break up the question banks (create smaller banks), possibly by topics or another category.

Tanto a alumnos como a instructores nos llega una notificación a nuestro correo electrónico cuando recibimos un mensaje en Canvas. Para responderlos debemos ingresar a www.netacad.com e ingresar en algún curso para ver el link de la bandeja de mensajes y responder. ¿Qué tal si se pudiera responder directamente desde el correo electrónico donde somos notificados?. It would be easier if we can access our messages from a link on the home rather going inside to a class.

Capability of creating a blank course or import course material upon creation of a course
Currently,when you create a course, you have to select the course you wish to teach which, essentially, is a template for that course. The problem, however, when you import material from another course is that you end up with a lot of duplicates (even when you select which material needs to be imported). If you allowed the option to create a blank course, this would eliminate duplicates when importing a previous course. Or, if there was a way to create a course based upon a previous course when it is created, the material from the other course could be imported…

Resend Grade on Exam
Student's grade did not transfer correctly to the gradbook page. The student could see their score, but it did not transfer into the gradebook for the instructor to see. The student did click the 'Resend Grades' button several times but still the grade did not transfer to the gradebook. I had to manually enter the grade in the gradebook.

Allow putting images from Files into Canvas Question Bank questions
Right now the only way to include an image is to upload to a server and post an url. The problem is that this now relies on multiple servers and the images are not associated with the course. Much better to be able to create a locked folder in Files and link directly to those images. It appears that we can do this is in the Quiz but not in the Question Bank -- the problem is it is necessary to use the Question Bank to randomize the order of questions and for mananging quizes in general.

Bonjour!
Serait-il possible d'associer à la réception des différents post une alerte sonore? Ceci permettrait aux utilisateurs de Netspace d'être plus efficaces et de répondre promptement aux préoccupations des apprenants qui suivent les cours à Distances.
Surtout pour les rubriques:
- discussion,
- lorsque l'apprenant soumet son examen,Merci pour le travail que vous abattez.

Authentication issues with 3rd party cookies
Until early December 2012, having cookies enabled was sufficient to authenticate on to NetSpace (cisco.netacad.com). From January 2013, it is not possible, and 3rd party cookies need to be enabled as well. From a security point this is not really a good idea. What has changed?

For security and reporting purposes, assessments and content in NetSpace are delivered from a separate delivery system. The delivery system uses cookies for required session information. We use the Learning Tool Interoperability (LTI) standard for communicating between the systems. The LTI tool access pattern exists as a relationship between two separate domains, that of the consumer and that of the producer. The content and assessment delivery system, as the producer, exists on a different domain than learning management system where consumers access the content. Because the delivery system is being invoked from a different domain than consumer LMS, standard browser security models require the enabling of third party cookies to pass the correct cookies to the delivery system.

Inbox best performance request
Since the Inbox version was launched, I cannot send messages anymore. I am instructor of many courses, maybe because of this, it takes so much time to load messages (when it loads!). When I click new message and fill "To:" I have to wait about 5 minutes to appear the list of classes. Then finally when I write the message and click "Send", many often the message is not sent and no error message appears. It is a very important educational tool that now is useless for me, I have to use the Announcements instead, in each class.

Disable Canvas Email
Student's are using the email system in Canvas to email completed exams, both theory and practical, to themselves, then accessing that information during exams. I've disabled inter-student email exchange, however, it does not prevent student's from emailing themselves.
We've created a testing environment which utilizes the Windows Kiosk mode and prevents student's from accessing Internet resources, during exams, however, we need a way to completely disable email. This is a CRITICAL need.
This technique, combined with with the completed exams and instructors manuals available on the Internet are allowing cheating student's to make a mockery of the whole Cisco exam…

Copy assignment within same class
It would be helpful if we could copy assignments within the same class. I create a single assignment with settings that are the same for ALL assignments (but not attach files etc...) and make X copies of it. Then all I need to to is alter directions and add appropriate files etc...

Cannot order in "Accredit Instructors" screen. Filter by grade.
In ITC "Accredit Instructors" screen, ordering by grades is not working.
Also it would be very nice if we could filter the list by grade, for example, "acredit all students with grade grater then 80".4 votes -
Until Date and Drag and Drop was closed inappropriately
This was closed:
"It appears that when and "Until Date" is set on an assignment, and then the drag and drop feature is used in Calendar to move the assignment to a new date, the "Until Date" is not adjusted to at least the "Due Date." This causes a loss of functionality in the Drag and Drop feature of the Calendar since I still have to go in and manually adjust the "Until Date." In addition, since the "Until Date" does not show up in the short-list of dates, it cannot be fixed without multiple clicks... "

3 votesThank you for the updated feedback, Roger, however this is functioning as designed. The ‘Until’ and ‘Due’ dates are two separate features. The ‘Until’ field is used to “lock” the assignment whereas the ‘Due’ field is used for display purposes on the students end to show when the assignment is due and when it will be marked as late if submitted past that selected due date. The ‘Until’ field locks the assignments so that no submissions are available after that date, if only a ‘Due’ date with no ‘Until’ date is selected then students can still submit the assignment. Since these are two different features they do not talk to each other to update each other when one is changed by the drag and drop feature. Instrucctor File storage area
I would like to see a single files area for me as an instructor. Since I teach several courses, I use the same files for many of the courses. For example, I teach RNS1 in the fall for a High School and a College and again in the spring for a college.
I have found errors in the PacketTracer labs that I are embeded in the curriculum. When I find an error and fix it, I have to remove the current one from every course I am using it in adn I have to upload it to each course and…2 votes
