Capability of creating a blank course or import course material upon creation of a course
Currently,when you create a course, you have to select the course you wish to teach which, essentially, is a template for that course. The problem, however, when you import material from another course is that you end up with a lot of duplicates (even when you select which material needs to be imported). If you allowed the option to create a blank course, this would eliminate duplicates when importing a previous course. Or, if there was a way to create a course based upon a previous course when it is created, the material from the other course could be imported without duplicates. This would allow us to have a customized course easily duplicated for the next class we want to teach.

This would be a great time-saving feature especially for those of us who teach multiple sections of the same course or teach the same course year after year. Just give me a blank template and let me backup the restore my courses into that template. It would save a lot of editing!
Another option is to allow duplication of a course that already exists. For example, I want to duplicate my modified version of "Course A" without the student information for next year.
