Having several sections within the same class

On Netspace it is possible to define groups of students for grading assignments but it would be even better if the groups of students could be managed as a separate section of the same class.
The class can share content and material, but assignments and dates could be different for different groups.
There is a similar characteristic on Moodle ... I'm not sure about Canvas

I submitted a Helpdesk request for this and the feedback was that Sections is a tool available in a more recent version of Canvas so until Netacad upgrades their version it won't appear.

Please, I have been seeing this request for a long time. In Canvas you can have several sections (or groups) under the same course. Moodle has the same feature. It is a really useful behavior that is missing on NetSpace.
Please? Enabling this feature will be really appreciated

I believe this is similar to my request: Enable Canvas Sections

It is difficult to teach several different class sections with the netspace platform and attempt to keep these sections "in sync" (with the same additional material). Not to mention the massive amount of mouse-clicking that must be performed to transfer and update items between classes.

Agreed...
Imagine if you teach different class with same course, if you want to activated an exam only for one class not all class that you teach, you must select one by one the student who want you activate the exam.

This tools will help teacher to manage a course with student from different class rather than create many same course, with different student from different class.
