  1. Auto Save for Packet Tracer: Alumnos de Curso CCNA 2016 proponen mejora para Packet

    Que packet tracer tenga la funcion de autoguardado.
    Que ofresca una recuperacion al inciar si es que el programa falla.

    el motivo es que si falla la aplicacion todo el trabajo se pierde.

    English: Allow Packet Tracer to Auto-Save and Recover if it fails (This was released in Packet Tracer 7.1)

    Update: Auto-Save is being developed. Auto-Recovery will not be implemented at this time.

  2. packet tracer short course

    all to create class under instructor lead, planning to give this to students as mandatory to improve their usage.

  3. signature in certificate

    Need signature of instructor/ official in student certificate; IoE certificate give course completion but no signature place; It is not giving a authenticated look, please do the needful

    Thanks for the feedback. We recognize the enhanced value when the Certificate of Completion is provided with a signatory from NetAcad. As such, we will start to provide signed Certificates of Completion for the new self-paced courses. We will continue to propagate this enhancement when we have an opportunity to revise existing self-paced courses.

    Thank you again for all your feedback. Please click the “Try New Version” button in NetAcad to view changes to the Teach tab. We have made the ability to view courses larger and easier to read. Instructors can now try two different views with blocks or as a list. A search feature has also been added along with the ability to mark favorite courses and filter by open, closed, or favorite courses.

  5. Packet Tracer for Google Chrome OS

    We are looking into Android tablets and Chromebooks for our school. The only problem I would have with this switch would be Packet Tracer. Would be nice to have this ported as a Chrome OS / Android App.

    Hello Michael,

    I’m happy to announce that the the first release of Cisco Packet Tracer (PT) Mobile for Android is now available.
    Packet Tracer Mobile may be downloaded for free from the Google Play store. In the Apps section, search for “Cisco Packet Tracer” and follow the installation instructions.

  6. Increase number of attempts for low level courses

    Hi,

    Re: Get Connected and Introduction to Cybersecurity.

    I would ideally like to be able to set 5 attempts if possible for my 13-14 year old's who are the majority of our students (300+). Some have special education needs and require the support and opportunity of additional attempts.

  7. password recovery

    when somebody is trying to recover their user name or password, they should be able to type in their e-mail address as a way to identify themselves. If they forget their user name, there is no way to recover their password.

    Hello,
    In order to recover a password, click on the Forgot Password link on the NetSpace login page. From there you can enter your screen name and a new password will be sent to your e-mail address.

    If an instructor or student has forgotten their screen name, click Forgot Screen Name and the screen name is recovered by using the e-mail address associated with the account. The screen name will then be e-mailed.

    If a student needs their password reset, this can be done from the Course Details page by clicking the Edit button next to the course name on the NetSpace home page. There is a link to Reset Password and also the student’s screen name is given next to the student name.

    Instructor need to be able to reset a student's password. High school students do not have access to their home email in school. If a student is not prepared to take a test, he or she will say they do not remember their password. Knowing the instructor cannot reset the password, students will use this weakness. In our school district teachers are not allowed to collect student passwords for security reasons.

  9. Certificate and Letter page

    The page "Certificate and Letter" within "My profile" shows the course end date. This seems to me confusing and misleading. It would be better to show the date on which the certificate or letter has been achieved.

  10. Need the ability to re-enable exams for an entire class

    Currently, to renable an exam in the managing exam activations tab the instructor must individually re-enable each student which takes close to 45 seconds per student. My class of 32 requires me to spend 20 minutes reactivating all the indiviuals.

    Rob, If I understand what you are asking for, you should be able to do it on the manage activations page. At the bottom of the “re-enable incomplete assessments” column is an option to “toggle all” that will check all students in the class then click submit. That will re-enable the entire class. If you want to create a new activation, click on “Activate Assessments” in the top left corner.

  11. Cisco Certificates

    Student certificate must be with good style .
    The Cisco academy is a global academy and very popular so I think it is certificate must be in very good style .

  12. Track the Global IPD certificates fo Attendance in Certificates section

    can the certificates of attendance for IPD sessions be tracked in the Instructor's User Profile -> certificates section ?

  14. Making the Course Index Page usable

    Currently the Course Index page is not very usable. It takes about 60 seconds to scroll from the top to the bottom of a course. The course index I am talking about is attached as a file to this message. In the very least can you just add a standard scroll button to the page rather than relying on JavaScript scrolling? Thank you.

    Data presented in this file is outdated. References do not go past 2015 and should not be older that one year if we are going to use this to actively recruit new academies.

  16. Allow choice about log-on screen

    The look and feel of the log-on can be selected to be either the (optically-poor) new style, or the optically-superior older style(s).

    (Poorer ergonomics and efficiency of the latest logon-screen have been forced onto current users [Instructors and Students] without allowing them the option to pick the superior one for their purposes).

  17. List courses by academy

    I am at the US/C Partner Conference and multiple instructors have mentioned that they have classes at more than one academy. They mentioned it would be nice to list classes by academy.

  19. RIdiculous that you cannot change the Academy of a course.

    Ridiculous that you cannot change the Academy of a course.

    As an Instructor of multiple academies, I have created a course for the wrong academy at times.

    I setup and use canvas heavily, and do not see "recreating the class" or "this is not possible" as acceptable.

    And to "Share Ideas" and obtain "votes" to get noticed is simply even more ridiculous. Good ideas should not be addressed by the most likes or votes.

    Ugghh.

    On page https://www.netacad.com/group/resources/ccna-rs-scaling/6.0 link " Language Folders" points to "Introduction to Networks" folder page, not to "Scaling Networks" folder page.
