1. Student Password reset required

   Students can use the forgot password option if they need a password reset. However, in Networking Academies which as schools, working With 13-16 year olds, it would be extremely helpful if instructors (teachers) could have an option to trigger a password reset for the students. When a class is mid-flow, waiting for the student to sort out their password can be painfully slow, so giving the teacher the option to start that process would speed up things significantly. Please can we have this.

2. Create a student self-unenrol link / option on all courses and opt-out on NetAcad emails

   over a number of years we have been using some of the scalable features within netacad, using the gradebooks for mass communication with students and the self-enrol for large scale outreach and engagement - all excellent positives.

   However, less than 0.1% of students once they join feel that they have rights under data protection legislation (such as GDPR) which we must observe - with this in mind, we would like the addition of these two features.

   1. Student self-unenrol - where it will message the instructors and course-facilitators when this occurs (to help them catch any other potential issues).
   2. Student direct opt-out of messages from NetAcad via messages from within a specific course ... (e.g. by clicking on a link at the footer of the message). (at the moment, based on student reports, the system is somewhat clumsy)

3. Moodle - No "Preview Submitted Assignments"

   The instructor is unable to preview submitted student work. In Canvas, the instructor could click on the Speed Grader and a preview of the student file submission of their Word/PDF file would show. This is not activated yet in Moodle and needs to be setup as a Document Converter by Site admin.

4. Integrate Lock-Down browser for NetAcad Exams

   During the pandemic I have noticed students completing exams rather quickly and scoring 100% on them. As we know, the answers can be found easily online. Lock Down Browser with WebCam functionality (monitor) allows a recording to be taken while the student is taking the exam, while locking down all their extra monitors and only allows a student to view the exam while it's being taken. I would highly recommend similar function for NetAcad exams. It's the only way to proctor an exam during this time.

5. reinstate ability to see student participation time and date in new experience

   It was very helpful with legacy version to tunnel into a specific student and see the time they spent on the curriculum and the pages they visited. It was helpful to share with a student doing poorly "well you only visited Chapter 2 one time for 10 minutes". Of course, that is no guarantee that they actually spent an hour reading per Chapter if it shows that but it helps with those that clearly are not reading the Chapter.

6. password protect chapter exams

   Password Protect Chapter Exams

   In our distance learning classes we require exams to be taken at our testing center on campus. It would be very helpful for these exams to be able to have a password assigned so that proctors at the testing center can make the exam available to the student. Without this type of check in place the student can take the exam anywhere they want, which is not what we desire.

7. Moodle- No "Message Students Who..." - New Course Experience -

   Please activate the ability in Moodle to use a feature of "Message Students Who..." that we had in Canvas.
   It is imperative that instructors be able to have an LMS that allows us to instantly reach out to non-completing students when assignment/exam deadlines are arriving and the students have not completed their work.
   This was an extremely important feature of Canvas and does not exist in Moodle without an extension.

   I'd suggest the plug-in of "Reengagement" be used or something similar.

9. Provide at a Glance Indication of Assignments that Need Grading

   It would be very nice if the LMS provided a way to easily identify the assignments that need to be graded.

   One of the gripes my instructors complain about is not being able to quickly identify the assignments that need grading without first having to select an assignment or student. We are thinking of just moving the PTs and Labs to the college's LMS as the upload venue.

   I'm pretty sure all instructors appreciated Canvas in that you could see all students and all items that needed grading at a glance.

   Also would be super nice if, for example, from:

   Grades/Completion > View > Grade Reporter

   We could be one click away from landing on the page where the assignment to be graded reside.

    Thank you for the suggestion.

    Some improvements have been made for Packet Tracer 7.3. Individuals will not have to re-authenticate if they are logged in and taking a PTSA/PTMO exam.

    They will take this type of feedback into consideration in the next release of Packet Tracer.

11. Categorise the courses

    Hi,

    I would like to have the option to list the NetAcad courses according to a specific category. Currently, they are only listed in a random order (please see attached). It would be of great help to all instructors, especially those who are new to the academy and may not be ITE, CCNA or CCNP certified to be able to tell immediately which courses they can teach. Suggested categories include, certification required, self-enrolled, instructor-led only courses, partner and community courses.

12. Three Enhancement Requests on the User Profile in PT Assignments

    I require students to enter their name in the User Profile and the date in the Additional Info field for PT assignments. In some cases the User Profile window does not pop up automatically so I provide what I call "Initial Guidance" on how to do this. It would be nice it was always displayed the first time they launch the PT.

    Second, in some cases, when they enter their name in the User Profile, the PT assignment is not resetting to 0. This means they could share their work, have the beneficiary simply change the name and be done because it didn't reset to 0. Kindly ensure assignments are reset to 0 when the User Profile is changed.

    Lastly, it would be beautiful if the information entered in the User Profile was displayed somewhere in the PT app without having to dig for the information via Options > User Profile to check both the name and date. Actually it would be nice if a Date field was added. I have them add the date info in the "Additional Info" field. Reason being so they cannot submit assignments completed during a previous semester if, for example, they didn't pass the course and are taking it again.

    Thank you for posting.  We are looking into the 3rd item, user information and how to display this differently.  They are hoping to have this in the next version of Packet Tracer.

13. after applying "Bulk Deactivation", those activations deleted keep appearing in Managing Activations

    Regarding netacad platform, when getting into Assessment Center, when you deactivate an activated exam by means of "Bulk Deactivation" link, it keeps appearing in the Managing Activations section.
    Would it be possible to sort that out?

14. Bulk Editing of Assignment Due Dates

    Please provide an easy way to edit the due dates and cutoff dates for all assignments at once in the new LMS. It is incredibly tedious to go into each assignment when you have 50 per course and change dates. Moodle has a tool for this already called the "Dates Report" it just needs to be enabled.

    The system does not send students a message when the instructor add a "Comment" to the assignment...... This should send the an alert that a comment has been posted to the assignment...

16. Quiz scores as percents

    Graded quiz scores are limited to being displayed as points. Give the instructor the choice to display them as percents. This will greatly reduce the time it takes to convert them from points to percents when exporting the canvas gradbook into the official grade book used by my school (Progress Book).

18. LTI Integration

    I use netlabs for my cisco lab environments for students to use via html. Netlabs allows LTI and an export package that can easily be added to moodle if the feature set is turned on for Instructors to customize further.

    Thank you for  your suggestion.  We are not able to add the ability to download course  feedback results from each course.  However, you can see this  information from the Academy Success Dashboard and using the gear icon  in the report you can export this information.

20. Package PacketTracer as an AppImage for GNU/Linux

    Current PacketTracer packaging gives trouble with some GNU/Linux distributions, specially if they are some years old. Package contains a bunch of Qt libraries but some of them refer to depend on other libraries not declared in the .deb package and it ends up giving runtime errors unless in Ubuntu 18.04 or other modern distro.
    An AppImage would be a perfect fit to have a portable PacketTracer for all GNU/Linux distributions.

    Thank you for the suggestion. The Packet Tracer team mentioned the following information that is found in the Packet Tracer FAQs: Run the command "sudo apt-get install " and follow the instructions shown on your screen.
    (Note that using "sudo dpkg -i " will not install the dependencies needed).
