Allow grade book changes to Quiz and Exam point values or wieghts as we could in CNAMS
The quizzes and exams are all currently fixed at 100 points. This makes it difficult to use a point-based gradebook. Please allow Instructor to set the points or weight of each of these as we could in the old CNAMS.

In order to weight your own quizzes and exams, set up a new assignment group for each one and assign the desired weight to that group. I hope this helps! -
Make internal Mail System an option
When I receive a forwarded mail I can´t reply dircetly from my external mail system.
Another point is, if students have forgotten their screen name / user name (both naming conventions are used at the moment) or password they can´t ask for help per mail, when using the internal mail system.
My opinion is that no one realy needs another mail system.

The instructor should have the option to choose the way students may contact him ether by the internal mailing system or an external mail
The only thing I need the internal Mail is to send mail to all of my students. When studens have a problem or a question, they should ask me via an external mail. There is no need for another mailing system within canvas. So I need at least the option, that studens can´t send me mail via nethole.
If I only would ask students not to use it, there are always enough Students ignoring my request.3 votesMartin, thanks for the feedback. One suggestion is to set your notification preferences so that emails from NetSpace are directed to your external mail. You can access the notification preferences from the user profile page. Click on Change Classroom Notifications. Hope that helps!

Own page for academy's teachers
Is it possible to vreate a sit to netspace for my academy's instructors? I meen a site which contains links to cisco ´course materials, calendar, discussion board, and files that we could share among our academy's teachers?

Upload files for academy or teacher
It would be helpful if I could upload files for the academy and other teachers could add them then to their courses. Now it is possible to upload files to teacher but I'm not able to add those files to my courses - I have to upload files to courses too. It would be nice to be able to use all uploaded files (witch I have uploaded to my instructor folder) on different courses, make direct links to files on my instructor files folder.

view full courses exploration or discovery in Cisco Netspace
Unfortunately, there is currently no way in Cisco NetSpace to view the curriculum for all courses like their was in the old site.

Will there be a CCNP Security course in Network Academy?
As the internet continues to be a dangerous place, the value of proper network security education cannot be overestimated. Even now, at Associate level, CCNA Security is probably the best additional qualification. So I would think it good and necessary to include the CCNP Security course in the curricula offered by Network Academy.

The current focus of the Networking Academy curricula is on entry-level and associate-level courses and our CCNA Security course fits within that focus. As we evolve our curricula and portfolio of offerings, there may be opportunities to increase our coverage of security. We appreciate your input.

Renumbering of filtered list of students
When we go to the Manage (exam) Activation, we have the following options to choose from: All, Active, Inactive and Create.
If I have 14 students in total, of whom two students I did activate the exam, and, say, those students are listed as rows 5 and 7 under the All option, then go on to choose to display only Active, I see numbers from 1 to 14 giving the incorrect impression the exam is active for 14 students. But on closer examination, we will see that only 12 students are actually listed but the original row numbers have not…

When you are looking at the Manage Activation page, under the rows of students, there is a gray area which shows you how many “entries” or students are in each tab (all, active, inactive, and create). While the row number stays with the student, this is a filtered status for each tab.

Provide user feedback when the system takes more than a second to repsond.
The system does not supply timely user feedback. For example, when I choose "toggle all" in my class list, it takes time for that request to be sent to the server and for the check mark to show up in that box and then to fill in all the boxes in the particular column. Good usability tells us that anytime a system has been requested to do something the user should get feedback as to the status of that request. The little clock or the apple hour glass - something that indicates the request has been made and action will…

Clarify that the "number of attemts" is not for the activation an instructor is doing at the time but for all current and future activations

Require skills based assessment as well as final exam
Most if not all of us would agree that a true test of student mastery of content is through hands-on/simulation-based skills based assessments. We want NetSpace to support increased quality--so why has this required element of final assessment not traveled over from the old environment? Frankly, it is more important than the Course Feedback.

Create hot links beside classes names
Create quick hot links beside class names that directly takes you to the assignment page or grade book or edit class options.

The quiz creation tool needs to allow for random question order.
The quiz creation tool is great, but it really needs the ability to sort both the question and the answers randomly. It currently allows for random answers for multiple choice questions. Without random questions it is just too easy and tempting for students cheat

Hi Anders,
Thank you for your comment. While there is not a way to export whole classes from Academy Connection, once you set up your course in NetSpace, you will be able to use content, add students, etc. to other courses you are teaching. In addition, you can now select students from Academy Connection and enroll them in a NetSpace course. -
Provide a class median score in the quiz assessment summaries.
The individual test question medians are not nearly as helpful to me as the class median is. It was always helpful to compare my class against the academy averages.

Good news! The medians are available in NetSpace. When in your class, click on Assignments, choose Assignment, go to Student Performance Summary then Assessment Summary (2nd tab). You will then be able to view the Student Summary and the Program Summary. I hope this helps!
