Allow instructor to control whether students can review their exam Q&A after final exam has been taken.
Allow instructor to control whether students can review their exam Q&A after exam has been taken. Not all students pass their final online exam on the first try. Cisco allows students to retake examinations so it is only right to allow instructor to control whether studends can review their exam Q&A. This gives control to the instructor. Cisco understood this for years within old Cisco Academy format. That should not change.
1 voteHi Kerry,
This is available under the Advanced Activation. The last column is “Student View Correct Answer,” please un-check that box. I hope this helps! Thank you! -
Modify CSV instructions
Hello,
I have numerous requests from instructors getting errors trying to enroll students using a csv file.
The Netspace supplied CSV file contains spaces after each comma. Any instructor replicating that format will get errors trying to upload his data.
For example, the enrollment process will bug if an email address starts wih a space.I recommend that the Netspace CSV sample be modified, or/and clearer instructions be available to instructors.
Best Regards
Bernard

I have looked into this and unfortunately, this isn’t something that can be changed in Canvas. Thank you again for your suggestion.

FRUSTRATED!
I am extremely frustrated to have been pushed into a new site that does not have the same functionality as the old one. The last time a new version of the curriculum was released, there were features unavailable at release that had been included in the previous version. Why do you keep forcing new products on us that are not ready? It is not fair to my students!

Missing resources on the Passport 21
I teach various Cisco CCNA Exploration courses and have been using the Passport 21 resource for supplemental instructor materials. In the Netacad site those resources are not the same. The most important to me are the videos for each chapter in the course that provide a nice overview to the material. THEY ARE NOT in Netacad. Please fix this. It's very important to me and my students learning process. Thank you.

Selection of columns
Hello,
When trying to select and copy a column in "Grades", the all table is selected instead. It should be possible to directly select (and copy) just one column.
Best regards,

Please fix the Step 2 so I can use the new site.
I have been trying for weeks to get past the step 2 to enter the site. Everytime I go to complete a student's work, I get an error message about having to be an instructor. I am attaching a screen shot of the error message. This is very frustrating since everyone I send mail to says it is working for others. I have tried a variety of OS and browsers but they all do the same thing. I was told to click on the - next to the student's name but the error message appears regardless of what I do.

Individualized exam feedback missing from version 5.
There is a difference between item feedback and exam feedback. In version 4 a student could get exam feedback which would list each of the reading areas that the student had trouble with on the exam. This is no longer available in version 5. I will not let students look at the exam items because instead of studying the content they will study the exam item to do better on the re-exam. This lets them off of the hook regards to trying to figure out what was missing in their brain regarding the information and instead focuses them on just…

View what the students see
It would be great to switch views since this is new and see things the way my students would see them so I can explain to them how to submit assignments.
1 voteHi Justin,
The Student View is located under the “Settings” tab (on the left hand side of your course home page). Once you click on “Settings,” it is the first option on the right hand side of your screen. You can also set up a student account for yourself using another e-mail address.
I hope this helps!

Help Button
The "Help" button displays two different screens when selected, depending on which page I'm on. The NetSpace Home page opens the 'traditional' support page; when on a course page, a pop-up box is displayed. I prefer the 'traditional' support page, especially when I'm checking status of an open ticket.

Thank you for your comment. Portuguese isn’t supported in the NetSpace live chat yet. On another note, we will have our NetSpace tutorials available in Portuguese at the end of the month! -
Who will be Beta Testing the New CCNA Curriculum?
The new CCNA 5.0 Curriculum is planned to role out in June 2013, who is reviewing this material for accuracy? I have not seen enough depth of what will be included. When will text books, lab books and equipment lists be available?
1 voteHi Robert,
Thank you for your feedback. Here are some answers to your questions:
We engaged a team of 60 instructors globally to assist in developing the structure of the CCNA 5.0 curriculum. We will be starting the CCNA 5.0 Small Market Trial (SMT) with approximately 250 instructors globally to validate the first two courses of CCNA 5.0 beginning April 1, 2013. Please know that we are doing all we can to ensure we deliver an awesome CCNA curriculum to our instructors and students.
We have already posted the DRAFT CCNA 5.0 Scope & Sequence document on NetSpace in the CCNA Offering page, which specifies the details of the CCNA 5.0 courses as well as the lab equipment. We will communicate textbook and lab-book availability as we make further progress with CCNA 5.0.

FIX the comment function on the CCNA5.0 Scope and Sequence (Draft) page
At the end of document is request comments - sying "Be the first" but when I tried to ADD this comment "Referencing Table 2 CCNA5 Teaching Routing and Switching.
First thing I noticed was the introduction of Multi-Area OSPF in Chapter 7 of the Scaling Networks Course - I do NOT see where SINGLE-Area OSPF has been introduced? In Table 3 CCNA5 Teaching by Technology, three chapters are devoted to OSPF,(Chapt 6) Single-Area, (Chapter 7) Troubleshooting Single Area and then (Chapter 8) Mulit-Area OSPF
Two chapters are probably enough, but ONE isn't going to make it!

Thank you for your feedback on the DRAFT CCNA 5.0 Scope & Sequence document.
Please note, this is a draft document that we wanted to be sure we delivered it as soon as possible to instructors. This is for instructors to begin their review and examination. The first two courses of CCNA 5.0 curriculum are much further along and are pretty solid; with the rest less so.
Your observation re: OSPF is correct and will definitely be addressed as we make further progress with CCNA 5.0. Our goal is to make this DRAFT CCNA 5.0 Scope & Sequence document a live document that will correctly reflect our progress.
Please find below the CCNA community page, where our CCNA product manager is moderating the CCNA forum, if you have additional questions:
