Send an email to all students each time a new discussion is created
Everytime a new discussion is created or a student receives an answer from an Instructor should be an option to allow us to send email notifications.

Where is the Linux versions of Packet Tracer 6.0.

The Linux resources are on the Resource page. Go to NetSpace, Offerings and Packet Tracer. On that page, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page. At the bottom of the page click on Access Resources, then you will see PT5.3.3 and PT6.0, click on the PT6.0 and all of the versions are in that series of folders.

General: Show messages if something is not modified immediately but over night
It happend to me multiple times that I did something like accepting an ASC request or accrediting an instructor and nothing happend.
I then contacted support who told me that this would take some time to be shown. It would have saved me a lot of time if I just had got a message telling me that the request has been received and everything will be ready within 48 hrs...1 vote -

Can I use my netacad account in cisco.com? If this feature is not available, please make it available if it hasn't security and other related problems.

Upload CSV File of Potential Students to Enrol in a Course
Issue:
It is very challenging to locate a SUBSETof eligible students to enrol in a course if you have several eligible students in your academy.Request:
The upload of a CSV file of a SUBSET of eligible students can be used by NetSpace to filter out the other eligible students that are not part of the SUBSET.This feature will make life easier in administering large academies.

Good news! You are now able to enroll existing students into subsequent courses using a CSV file. Please see the NEW Enroll Students tutorial. This is available from the NetSpace home page, click on Program then NetSpace Tutorials. I hope this helps. We are not planning to have a filter option available for eligible students. Thank you for your suggestion! -
Hide Students within course
Ability to Hide students in Course. Student may have left with the possibility of return, but I don't want them in the grade-book

common web page for one instructor
I have four classes currently running cisco 1 x 2, cisco 2 and 3
I upload my files to each class such as worksheets, but I have seen (once) a page that listed all my files.
is it possible to just have the files I need in ONE place, then create links to these files when I want the student to access them?
That way I conserve my 500Mb limit by only having ONE copy of each file stored on the canvas server

Hide NetAcad Students from manage users
First time I noticed the button to hide students when you look at an Academy's userlist. If it has been there all along, stupid me! If it is a new option, GREAT IDEA! It provides sufficient filtering to different the few instructor/management people from the MANY student names!

Migrate students from Academy Connection to Netspace
After the 1st of July, the Academy Connection will be closed.
All our students will lose access to the Cisco Academy material.

Turn off ability of students to message entire class
Recently I had a student message the entire class with material that was not appropriate for the classroom. There is now way to turn this off in a single class. But I do know that it can be turned off by the administrator.

See student profile pictures in gradebook and roster
It would be great to be able to see the student pictures in the roster and the gradebook. It will people like me that can't remember names. If it wasn't for my drivers license, I wouldn't know my name.

Create an option to change the default due time for already created assesments.
When you click and drag an undated event to the calendar, it defaults to 12 am. If you want to change it, you have to go into each on individually. Can you make an option to change the default time? Maybe by assesment group.

"Submit" button on grades
I just put 3/4's of a class's grades in the wrong column. The grades are immediately entered and stored. I had no chance to undo my mistake.

Allow putting images from Files into Canvas Question Bank questions
Right now the only way to include an image is to upload to a server and post an url. The problem is that this now relies on multiple servers and the images are not associated with the course. Much better to be able to create a locked folder in Files and link directly to those images. It appears that we can do this is in the Quiz but not in the Question Bank -- the problem is it is necessary to use the Question Bank to randomize the order of questions and for mananging quizes in general.

Let ASC Staff and Advisors know who among the instructors of their supported academy have migrated to netspace to better support them.

Provide error message when time exceeds 12 midnight into next day.
When assigning chapter exams, I seem to have quite often entered 12:59 PM as the due date. Clearly 12:59 is a time in the next day.
The assessment scheduling behavior is to NOT do anything except, take the minute calculation and apply it to the default end time, which is 1 hour after the current (default start time.) With no error message this can leave 1 part of the time field looking good but the hour part of the field incorrect.
Since 12:59 PM is clear the next day, this should cause a pop-up asking if the next day should…1 vote -

Lines ordered by first name
Good afternoon,
When the lines in "Grades" are ordered by name, they appear ordered by the Last Name. However, in several regions (namely in Europe) the most common is to order names using the first name.
This way, I suggest that it should be also possible to order names by the first name.

Treat Ungraded as 0's
The Treat Ungraded as 0's option should be permanent or at least have the ability to save it as such. The way it is now makes no sense at all, who gets a passing mark for a course if they only completed a fraction of the course? For example, I have someone who did not complete the course and only completed 3 of the chapter quizzes, each weighted at 2%. However, in the grade book, the students final mark appears as 86% without that option checked. The students are also getting confused as to what their final mark is because…
