  1. Please make the student view of assignments the same view that instructors see. They should be ordered the same.

Please make the student view of assignments the same view that instructors see. They should be ordered the same. It would also make sense if the gradebook showed assignments in the same order as they appear in the assignments section.

  2. Please, please,..... make the navigation .... EASY!!!!

No more context change every click.
Make the review processes easy at a glance.
    The few pages... the best.
Think easy for the end user.... not for the programmer.

  3. Fix CCNA Routing and Switching graphic

    https://www.netacad.com/group/offerings/ccna-rs

The graphic shown on this page is confusing and misleading, because:

    1. It does NOT show the recommended sequence of four courses.
    2. It does NOT show the CCENT milestone after the first two recommended courses.

Please fix this. Other instructors are constantly coming to me looking for an explanation of how this is supposed to work.

  5. List more recent postings in Community Home

Now that new postings are only displayed on community home for all forums instead of in the specific community. More recent postings need to be listed on the Community Home so we don't miss something from one of the forums we are trying to follow.

    Hi Greg,
Community Home has the most recent postings from all Spaces –
and each Space (IT Essentials, CCNA, etc.) has the most recent blogs displayed –
you do have to go to the Forum itself to see the most recent postings. Another option is subscribing to the postings.
    Thanks,
    Kimberly

  6. Show activation status, dates/times when an exam is active

Today a student asked when the 7 day activation window would end. There seemed to be no way to find out. When clicking an active exam the window should show something similar to "This exam will expire at 2:00 hours on 12 September, 2013".

Better yet, there should be a single spread sheet showing all exams in column 1, activation start in col 2, activation end in col 3, time limit in col 4.

  7. Improve assess to assessments

Previously we could print out an entire module assessment which was really useful to an instructor for preparation (take it away and go through all the questions etc). Now you can only access one question at a time. To print out all questions would take a considerable amount of time - can we have the previous functionality back please?

  12. twice the same chapter!?!

    Hello

I found that in the new R&S curriculums 2 chapters are absolutely identical:
R&S ITN Chapter 11 and R&S CN Draft Chapter 5.
Both cover NAT with exactly the same materials, topics, word and images.

Is this done deliberately or or is it a flaw in the curriculum or something about compatibility with different course paths?

    To me this looks broken.

What am I as an instructor supposed to do about this?
Tell the stuff twice? Skip the chapter once, but why is it there then?

    Many thanks for your answer.

    Beat

    Hello Beat,
It is by design. NAT appears earlier in the preferred path because of its intended alignment to CCENT. NAT was not included in an earlier course of the non-preferred path which necessitated its inclusion in a converging fourth course. When the traditional path is retired, the concern of redundant content can be addressed. Until then, the materials can be used as a review or skip.
    Thank you!

  13. Resend Grade on Exam

Student's grade did not transfer correctly to the gradbook page. The student could see their score, but it did not transfer into the gradebook for the instructor to see. The student did click the 'Resend Grades' button several times but still the grade did not transfer to the gradebook. I had to manually enter the grade in the gradebook.

    Hi Brian,
Under Assignments, click on Weight the final grade based on assignment groups. This way you can create separate assignment groups for each chapter (click on Add Assignment Group). The weight is placed on the group rather than the individual assignments. There are also tutorial availables (Program>NetSpace Tutorials. I hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Kimberly

  16. Password protection on exams

It would be nice to be able to set a password for exams. I like to schedule my exams in advance for each class so I don't take classtime to do this. However, if one or more students do not show up for class, they still have access to the exam. I have had students take the exam outside of class and I don't want them to be able to do this. Setting a password would monitor this in that only the students who show up for class would be given the password. This is possible in most LMS systems…

Hi Carolyn, This is from the Assessment team….This is a great suggestion. We can add it to our future enhancement list. However, in the meantime, you can go into the exam either from Assignments or the Activation Tool, click Manage Activations, select the specific exam form, select the Students tab and click “Deactivate” for the particular student on the day of the exam. This will accomplish the same result.
    Thank you,
    Kimberly

  17. Instructors get to see initial passwords

In Net Academy, instructors could see the initial passwords issued to new learners. There have been problems with invitation emails so it was useful to be able to see these passwords. There is no provision for this in Net Space

  18. We've already posted files and folders for the chapters under ccna files.

Get our files and folders for R&S 1 and 2 back in the community before they are lost forever.

  20. Mouse-over definitions

I took Cisco when I was in high school, and I found the curriculum to be very challenging due to the vocabulary. Many informational websites now give you the definition of a word when the mouse pointer is moved over the word. Please add this to your curriculum.

    Jack,

The glossary feature was removed from the CCNA R&S curriculum due to the low level of usage and to allow us to focus our resources on the curriculum, assessments, Packet Tracer activities, and enhancements such as mobile access. We will revisit the prioritization of this feature if it becomes more important to the NetAcad community.

    Thank you,
    Michael
