    For each CCNA-Routing and Switching course, you have provided Packet Tracer Practice Skills Exam which is automatically graded after the students click "submit" button.

  2. Alphabetical Order by Last Name

    • The Gradebook lists students alphabetically ordered by last name.
    • Student performance summery shows them alphabetically ordered by first name. Both should list students in alphabetical order by last name.

  3. Keep a Exploration version of the curriculum

    Knowing that the CCNA curriculums "Network Basics", "Switched Networks" and "Routing Protocols" are being retired next year I have chosen to use "Introduction to Networks", "Routing & Switching Essentials", "Connecting Networks" and "Scaling Networks" with my new class.
    We are now in the second semester with "Routing & Switching Essentials" and I am seriously missing the well-structured "Exploration" curriculum that I have been teaching for the past 4 years. I really wish I was teaching "Routing Protocols" at the moment. I think the linear teaching approach is the most logical and effective. I was never a fan of the "Discovery"…

    Here is Thanh Le’s response:

    Cisco continuously monitors market and employment requirements so that we may properly and quickly adjust the certifications and education needs of our various constituents. In addition, during the past CCNA R&S certification exam revision, we conducted a series of face-to-face discussion with over 100+ global employers. The finding from these sessions:

    - Employers expect candidates for entry-level positions to know more and do more on day one
    - Employers expect candidates for entry-level positions to know routing, switching and fundamental security (NAT and ACL) on day one
    - There is a growing gap of knowledge of advanced technologies: security, voice, wireless, data center and cloud in the job candidates that they interviewed and hired

  4. (Better) Inform about changes

    Yesterday we ran in an issue that our students weren't able to take the final exam.
    After contacting support we've learned that this is due to the fact that starting from 2 weeks ago course feedback needs to be done before the exam.
    We were quite lucky that this was an optional subject exam. If this would have happened in a mandatory subject this could have had legal consequences due to the fact that students wouldn't have had enough time for the exam after waiting for the answer of support and filling out the course feedback.

  8. Just a question about site navigation

    Is this working as planned?
    I clicked the 'Manage' tab then clicked on my Academy's link (TAFESA South) and I found myself on the page in the attachment (included). Is this where I'm supposed to be when as Main Contact, I'm trying to manage our academy? (It does not look right to me... ;-) )

    Hello Claudio,
    Thank you for your message. Yes, this is by design. Clicking on the Academy name from the Manage tab takes you, as the Admin, to your Canvas account, which you can then manage.

    In the screenshot, you would mouse-over Courses, then select under Manage Accounts your academy. You will then see all the courses at the academy

    As for managing the academy affairs, that all happens with the different links on the Manage tab – Manage Users, Update Academy Information, etc.

  9. A course notepad

    It would be interesting to add a notedpad in the course, maybe, a shared notepad for instructors when they could annotate different notes, suggestions, events and so on.

  12. link token seats with mail

    To have a possibility for linking tokens with an e-mail of a student and they can received them automatically by mail.
    For example a simple table of two columns one for token and another one for the mail of student. So we could paste the mails matching all the tokens which we've created, and to send them automatically.

  14. Basic in CCNA

    Please concentrate in Curriculum, why because, those students are not having idea about CN they may learn from grass root so my point of view is if we consider them then they may interest to join this course, CCNA Exploration is good for them.

  15. better viewing of all acitve exams

    Previous version allowed us to see all active exams at once. I don't have time to look at each individual exam - as I have to now.

    This is available in the Activation Tool. Click on Manage Activations and you will be able to view Current and Expired Activations.

  16. Get rid of the errata sheets and start fixing errors

    I have multiple cases where minor errors like grammatically incorrect sentences in PowerPoint slides or defective IPS signature files and it takes months to years(!) to fix those flaws. Please implement a process to quickly fix simple errors.

    Hi Phillippe,

    Please forward any errors you find in the courses and assessments to the NetAcad Support Desk – academysupport@netacad.net. Please provide as many details as possible: page number, observed errors and your recommendations so that we may record, validate and resolve them.

    In the past, we had to accumulate these errors and provide the fixes in a Minor Release. With NetSpace, we have the ability to fix the errors online relatively quickly.

    Priority 1 and 2 errors will be validated and fixed relatively quickly. Priority 3 and 4 (minor) errors will also be validated and fixed on a scheduled basis. We are committed to fixing all reported errors.

    We do compile and publish these errors in the errata list https://www.netacad.com/group/communities/support so that other instructors may observe the reported errors before they are fixed.

    I just had a student who change his email address but didn't check the set "Update my notification preferences email address in the classroom" by default". I'd suggest to set it by default.

  18. Increase Space on Quiz Answers

    When entering answers for quiz questions I only get a box about three words wide, whilst I stare at acres of white space either side of the screen. Can the box be made bigger?

  19. Availability

    I am not at all happy with the layout of NetSpace. I am REALLY struggling to find out how to work in this new environment. It would be a good idea to let us choose between at least two interfaces (like one copy of the old one) or should I say it would have been a good idea. I am telling everybody reading this now that I have learning disabilities. Still I have been an instructor for Cisco for 11 years now (credited with ten). Almost all of my evaluations have reached 4 and 5 on all points concerning me,…
