  1. Put Labs as packet tracer activities as well as just labs

    I would like Cisco Networking Academy to include the labs as packet tracer activities as well as just labs. Because I only have 75 mins. of class time it is difficult to complete a lab in one class period if the students have not first practiced the lab configuration steps in Packet Tracer. I usually have them submit their completed packet tracer and check it before I allow them to go into the lab. In the old curriculum the labs were also included as packet tracer activities with the assessment already set up and this would make it much easier…

  5. Points vs. Percent Grade Type

    When selecting Points vs. Percent as the grade type for an assignment, there should be some explanation of the difference. As I have come to find out, there is NO difference in how the grade is calculated in the gradebook, only in how it displays in the gradebook.

    This has caused much confusion. When grading by percents, each assignment carries the same weight and you use a simple average calculation to find the category grade. When grading by points, you add the total earned points and divide by total possible points to find the category grade.
    Example:
    50/400 = 12.5%…

    Thank you very much for your feedback. Unfortunately there is no “Thanks” button in NetSpace to send gratitude to an academy’s ASC. If your academy would like to thank their ASC, please use the Message tool in the NetSpace communities or email.

  7. Copy assignment within same class

    It would be helpful if we could copy assignments within the same class. I create a single assignment with settings that are the same for ALL assignments (but not attach files etc...) and make X copies of it. Then all I need to to is alter directions and add appropriate files etc...

  9. Conference

    Am very happy to attend the Cisco Virtual Conference this year again. The new things that i learned and ideas that i got has really impact my life positively am extending this to my students other Instructors who did had an opportunity to attend especially within the East Africa Region.Also am very happy to be recognize as one of the EXPERT LEVEL INSTRUCTORS it came immeadialtly after the conference.Indeed Cisco is transforming the world Economics

  10. speed

    Speed to the website is much slower than the previous cisco academy. It can take up to 30-35 seconds just to get to the start screen. I have tried on multiple networks with high speed internet. Assessments will be a real problem if this continues

  13. The Community Recognition points are a really good idea. When do they get updated?

    The Community Recognition points are a really good idea. It's a very nice incentive to participate with the community through NetSpace. However, I've only seen a very few people's scores change. According to the web site they are updated live. Mine haven't adjusted since mid-December, and I've posted materials, shared ideas, and answered posts. So...When and how do they get updated?

  14. I wish the Create Activation button next to a name on the Manage Activations tab would take precedence and automatically reset the Due

  15. View historical courses of a instructor

    Hi Ramon,
    Unfortunately, unless the instructor downloaded all of his/her courses from Academy Connection, there is not a way to view the historical courses.

  16. Change modules RSS

    It would be very good if students could sign to receive via e-mail changes made by instructors in Modules. For example, I just posted a link to a video in course modules. I have now to communicate all students via "inbox". It would be very good if it could happen automaticaly.

  17. Remove Chapter Exam from course

    I would like to be able to remove the Cisco Chapter Exams from a course and use my own exams. I would be happy if i could even remove them from the gradebook. Currently, students see the built in exams in their gradebook, even though I do not use them. This causes some confusion.

  18. Instrucctor File storage area

    I would like to see a single files area for me as an instructor. Since I teach several courses, I use the same files for many of the courses. For example, I teach RNS1 in the fall for a High School and a College and again in the spring for a college.
    I have found errors in the PacketTracer labs that I are embeded in the curriculum. When I find an error and fix it, I have to remove the current one from every course I am using it in adn I have to upload it to each course and…
