Using my own Packet Tracer activities with automatic submitting and grading
I would like to add my own .pka-s into the course and use them as assignments. I can do that by uploading the file, creating an assigment, then student downloads the file and uploads the solved activity of an other student...
If Netspace could use my own .pkas with the same method as the official activities (calls PT from the webpage and uploads the file automatically when student chooses Submit) and also puts the percentages automatically into the gradebook, now that would be quite nice.3 votesNorbert, community members have made this available in the ‘Community’ section of Cisco NetSpace titled ‘Activity Grader’ in the ‘ExApps-JavaScript Files’ section of Packet Tracer Communities. -NetAcad Support

Add exam questions to the database
It would be great if there is an option for the instructors to select some exam questions while viewing assessments to be added or moved to the exam database , this will allow instructors to create new exams formats simply by selecting related questions from different exams.

need to show selected settings for each activation
When an instructor is creating an assessment activation, the instructor selects options on whether the assessment requires approval to retake; instructor should re-enable assessment. The selected action settings should appear in the current and expired activations so that an instructor should be reminded of what settings were choosen to assist in troubleshoting re-enable and re-take cases for students.

show statistics on activations for each assessment activation date
instead of scrolling down the list of students to identify incomplete attempts; complete attempts; pending attempts; approve additional attempts; re-enable incomplete assessment we can have counts for each the mentioned items in the headings so that before you scroll down you have an idea of how many incomplete assessments are there etc . These should apply to current activations

Tie course feedback to current course not past courses or increase the number of attempts
I recommend either increasing the number of attempts on a course feedback or tying the course feedback to the current course not previous courses. The two attempts does not work well for students who re-take a course whether it be due to failed attempts, medical reasons or other.
1 voteKatherine, currently there are 2 max attempts for the Course Feedback. If the student needs to re-take the course they should have that second attempt available. If they are re-taking that course a third time, you will be able to contact the Support Desk and provide the student’s information and they will be able to provide an additional attempt for them. -NetAcad Support

allow one open session for students
to prevent fraud in skills, I think it is absolutely necessary to allow one and only one access per student.
1 voteMohammed, students will only be able to have one Cisco NetSpace account per email address. If they have multiple accounts it is because their instructor used a different email address when what is listed on their existing account. -NetAcad Support

Issues in Linux Testing
Please take a look at the attachment, the testing in Chrome and Firefox is an issue.
The students can only see the question and not the answer is very difficult to complete the exams.

Allow instructors to disable packet tracer in assignments
Whilst Packet tracer is a great learning aid. Packet tracer is proving a huge issue to many colleges when it comes to the continuous update cycles and java update requirements. When you add to that the challenge of getting ASDM and SDM to coexist with their Java foibles, it seams we are having to get our IT support team to update and reimage PCs in our Cisco classrooms almost daily.
If the instructor could choose not to include the packet tracer activities in the assignments, then it would reduce the pressure to continuously reimage our classroom machines and reduce the…

Until Date and Drag and Drop
It appears that when and "Until Date" is set on an assignment, and then the drag and drop feature is used in Calendar to move the assignment to a new date, the "Until Date" is not adjusted to at least the "Due Date." This causes a loss of functionality in the Drag and Drop feature of the Calendar since I still have to go in and manually adjust the "Until Date." In addition, since the "Until Date" does not show up in the short-list of dates, it cannot be fixed without multiple clicks...

Hi Roger.
Calendar and the Assessment Activations are two separate tools and at this time, they are unable to update each other. We will continue to work closely with both systems and provide input that there is a desire to have one update the other. -
Customize summary chapter exams
It would be an interesting possibility to be able to generate a new summary chapter exam from a random selection of existing chapter exams thus taking benefit form the online assessment system!

In "Manage Activations" view, instructor able to see the dates of the current activation.
I would like to be able to see when currently active assessments started and will end when I am in the Manage Activations view.

CCNA-S Grade Book
I would like the CCNA-S course Grade Book default to the Weighted score. As I understand it, the Grade Book now defaults to the Binary score. A check box providing the option would be the best solution.

Sample PTSA to fully test Assessment Environment
I think it would be helpful for there to be a sample PTSA that was easy to set up and launch. This would help us fully test the assessment environment and know that the PTSA would launch. Much time can be lost troubleshooting right before the test even when Java is updated and the environment checker is used.

To reduce cheating, teacher should have option to edit online exams
The on-line exams are great! However, to minimize cheating (students searching answers posted on-line), consider allowing teachers the ability to tweak the exams, making each exam unique to their academy (yet still similar to others)...this would reduce students ability to cheat.
Also, allowing teachers to share these "edited exam questions" with each other would allow a question to have multiple forms and possible solutions. This would minimize a student's ability to cheat.

Course Feedback Results to PDF
I think if the canvas is providing a feature to get the Course Feedback Results to a pdf that will be a good opportunity to share the participant's responds with the external parties such as top management of the academies, sponsors of the program and etc.

Under the “Academy Success Dashboard” report there is Student Feedback information from the Course Feedback Results that can be downloaded to a PDF document. More information on the Academy Success Dashboard is available from the Academy Reports page. Go to NetSpace Home and than from your Manage tab click on “Access Academy Reports”.
If you need more detailed information, I recommend contacting your ASC (Academy Support Center) for their recommendations.
