User Profile: Set "Update my notification preferences email address in the classroom" by default

I just had a student who change his email address but didn't check the set "Update my notification preferences email address in the classroom" by default". I'd suggest to set it by default.

Availability
I am not at all happy with the layout of NetSpace. I am REALLY struggling to find out how to work in this new environment. It would be a good idea to let us choose between at least two interfaces (like one copy of the old one) or should I say it would have been a good idea. I am telling everybody reading this now that I have learning disabilities. Still I have been an instructor for Cisco for 11 years now (credited with ten). Almost all of my evaluations have reached 4 and 5 on all points concerning me,…

Help button should show all 4 links all the time
The help button sometimes shows 3, sometimes 4 links - including the chat link. If you go back a page, then it may show 4. Help screens should be consistent, and complete.

Instructor signature
I would like to propose instructor embedded facsimile of my signature in the certificate on for personal signing option in certificate, because student left this college after they can download their certificate with my embedded facsimile of my signature in netacad login any where in the world.
20 votesThanks, Nizamudeen, for the feedback, however, we are unable to alter the system for this currently. We suggest that the student scans the signed certificate and save for future reference if they would like a digital copy with a signature.
Also as the instructor when you download the certificates, in Adobe, you have the ability to add a signature. You can add the signature, save, and then email to the student.

Your new site is worst and painfull
Your new site is probably one of the worst I ever worked:
- not friendly user at all
- to many screens
- a lot of functionality lost or misplaced
- a pain in the *** for enrollment
- can't have the same functionality on french language
- much worst than the one before
We should be able to do:
- one time enrollment;
- batch exams scheduling
- easy way to modify exam chapter

Please make the student view of assignments the same view that instructors see. They should be ordered the same.

No more context change every click.
Make the review processes easy at a glance.
The few pages... the best.

Fix CCNA Routing and Switching graphic

The graphic shown on this page is confusing and misleading, because:
- It does NOT show the recommended sequence of four courses.
- It does NOT show the CCENT milestone after the first two recommended courses.
Please fix this. Other instructors are constantly coming to me looking for an explanation of how this is supposed to work.

Creating Quizzes and Sharing them across class sections
I create additional assessment materials for my students (for example, a Midterm and a supplement to the online Final Exam). I'd like to be able to copy these to other classes. I am told by the Help Desk this function is not available. Can we get it?

Annual password change policy. Needs to be explained.
In NetSpace, there is the security policy that obliges users to change their account passwords once a year. The procedure is simple: upon sign in, the user is presented with a form to input their new password twice along with the password requirements. The user can not continue into the system until they set a new password. That comes as a surprise with no clear reason and can be confusing.
Although I support such a security policy, it should be better explained to the user by:
1. prior notifications that password should be changed soon with email and in-system pop-up…4 votesNetSpace now has notification that a user’s password will expire. There is a banner across the top of the page with a link to change the password.

Navigating "Share Idea" area
When clicking the "Share Idea" button one would assume that it would be possible to quickly access the whole "Share Idea" area, but it seems it isn't.
Can this be fixed, please?

Separate iCal Calendar Feeds for individual courses
I would like to have the option to provide the iCal Calendar Feed link for each of my individual courses to students for their personal calendars. Currently when I provide them the feed, they see all of the calendars for all of the courses I am running as one large calendar, instead of separate calendars. They are able to access the feed from their own personal profile, but I would like to also have the option to give it to them as well.

Add a search field for password reset
We can only list the name of students page by page for password reset. Is it possible to have a "search" by name option to get faster to the name of the student we want to reset the password of.

Send messages to students in closed courses
In order to send information for upcoming events and courses I believe it would be very useful to be able to send messages to students that attended closed courses...
