  1. Students and Instructor Phone numbrers should be viewed by academy contacts

    Academy contact, should be able to view the personal information of their users, both students and instructors, information on phone numbers and address to contact them.

    I'm searching for a student. When I search, nothing different is displayed. I assume this means no results were found. It would be helpful to say this!

  3. Chat enabled within a course

    It will be interesting to enable the chat between user within a course. Obviously the instructor can choose to enable or disable it
    This is an option possibile in moodle and given that the new platform is taken from moodle, it would not be difficult to do this, isn't it?

  5. Stop sending messages to students when we change something

    I would really like to control what messages go out to students when I work in the class. For example, former students are still getting messages, even when I do a simple copy- I know they can turn off the feature, but I should be able to do that as well.

    You have not opt-ed in to the recognition program. You need to check the Opt-in box in your profile under Notification Preferences for your name to be displayed on the page.

  7. Modify Conclude and Permanently delete course buttons

    Issue: Manual conclude course hyperlink is in a poor location. It is located under the 'Permanently Delete this Course' button.

    One could understand the concern of pushing said button when the data / course is something that cannot afforded to be lost.

    Story:
    The issue i had today was trying to conclude a course from 2013. Attempting to adjust the end date of the course wouldn't work and resulted in an error message:

    "The duration of this course must be between {0} days and {1} days. Please adjust the start and end dates to meet this criteria."

  8. Download messaging activity exchange for time accounting purposes

    It would be useful to downnload the exchange of messages between Instructors and students. Not messages themselves, but summarized information showing Course ID, Instructor/Student and the date and time of each message.

    This way instructors can show the portion of workload on-line and face-to-face courses entail regarding NetSpace.

  9. Modificar permisos NetAcad Contact cursos

    Los NetAcad Contact de cada academia deberian tener la facultad de poder modificar los nombres de TODOS los cursos creados en la misma academia siendo o no siendo instructores primarios o secundarios. De esta manera el NetAcad Contact puede tener una nomenclatura estandar para los cursos de su Academia.

  12. Access to a database of imnstructors

    Currently I can't find access to a database of current instructors connected to us an ASC. Is this being planned

    Hello Stephen,

    You can have an access to the ASC Dashboard from the Access Academy Reports link under the Manage tab in NetSpace. From the ASC Dashboard, the Academy Instructors tab will provide the contact information for the instructors at the ASC’s supported academies.

  13. Local Student number in the 'People' page of a class

    Administration of some local academy issues would be helped if the 'People' display in each class included a column for the local Student Number. This used to be provided in the old 'Roster' and was very useful indeed at times.

  15. No contact support link for students

    I have just discovered that students are directed to a Facebook page for support, and that they do not have the same "contact support" link that instructors do. Many younger people no longer use Facebook. They see it as being old and it's what their parents use. They need the contact support link so they can initiate a live chat without being forced to create a Facebook account to get help.

    Thank you for your post. If students do not wish to use or can’t use Facebook, then their instructor should contact support on their behalf, if necessary.

  16. Please include non DST option in profile for us who live in Central America or non DST observing.

    I live in Costa Rica and we don´t observe DST. I had to adjust the calendar for my students. Many got confused and didn´t take exams because of it. That becuase the calender adjusted to DST.

  18. Batch Addition of Assignments

    Create a way to batch add multiple assignments through a CSV file. Adding 20 labs as assignments to a course, one at a time, is time consuming to say the least. Most of the settings are the same for all of the assignments. If I could upload and download assignment settings into a cvs file and quickly edit them in Excel it would cut down on the time I spend trying to manage and create content for the course. (I don't teach courses with the same assignments, I usually change it up.)

    Thank you very much for your feedback. Unfortunately there is no “Thanks” button in NetSpace to send gratitude to an academy’s ASC. If your academy would like to thank their ASC, please use the Message tool in the NetSpace communities or email.

  20. The Community Recognition points are a really good idea. When do they get updated?

    The Community Recognition points are a really good idea. It's a very nice incentive to participate with the community through NetSpace. However, I've only seen a very few people's scores change. According to the web site they are updated live. Mine haven't adjusted since mid-December, and I've posted materials, shared ideas, and answered posts. So...When and how do they get updated?
