  1. Offer all the user information from the "Manage Users" place.

1- To check the screen name of a given user we need to access the course page through the edit gear. Why not providing such info on the "User Managment" section?

2- Suppose I don't know which course the student is enrolled in. From the "User Managment" I'm not able to discover the current courses a user is enrolled in. Your reason is user privacy but ... at least you must provide information regarding courses created by the instructor looking for the information.

3- Eliminate the course Edit gear entry point. Provide options directly on the course. This turns management…

  3. Student messaging during an exam

I understand that thru the "people" tab students can send messages to each other even when taking an exam.....And if you make the people tab unavailable they are cut off from messaging the Instructor. Can you modify this so that we can block student to student messaging during an exam without having to turn it off manually during an exam, then turning it back on after the exam.

So I saw Dave Free's response, but it still involves a manual intervention. So I am posting this again.

My students haven't figured this out yet but it is just a matter…

  4. Local curricula server

Hi! I remember that in the Academy Connection we use to have an option for downloading a local curricula server and it was very useful but now I can not see this option any more.

Is there any possibilty to think about that option again ?

    Regards,

  5. Show the user login name on the Manage User page

I did a mistake. I added twice the same student. I would like to delete the second one (the wrong) but they can be distinguish only by login name which is not included on the Manage User page.
This information is also not displayed in detailed information of selected student.

  6. Bridging Courses (Routing, Switching, Connecting Networks) continuation

    Hi!
When new version of CCNA (i.e. CCNA RS) was announced, during all of the instructor meetings (and personally i was on meetings in CIS and Nordic Countries) we were told that we can choose by ourselves model of giving material - either in top-down with Exploration-like education or bottom-up. Nobody told anything that this will disappear after one year. Here at my university CCNA course is a part of university program and this should be agreed with lot of persons to be launched. More important i can't just go and say "Hey you know, that course we arranged and…

    Hello lurii,

I’m not sure if you saw Thanh Le’s comment, so I will post it here. Please see below:

    Hi Iurii,

We have been communicating this message for the past 12 months:
    - Cisco Networking Academies’ recommended CCNA R&S course sequence is: Introduction to Networks, Routing and Switching Essentials, Scaling Networks and Connecting Networks
    - All academies need to plan for the transition to Cisco Networking Academies’ recommended CCNA R&S course sequence, and as soon as they can
    - 3 transitional courses were developed to support the academies during the transition for different reasons, e.g. curricula committee approval, course release timing, lesson plan creation, etc.
    - The 3 transitional courses will not be translated and will be end-of-life 12 months after we release all of the courses (in English)

BTW, I believe you actually refer to the transition courses when you said “bridging courses”.

    This message was communicated…

  7. Put Labs as packet tracer activities as well as just labs

I would like Cisco Networking Academy to include the labs as packet tracer activities as well as just labs. Because I only have 75 mins. of class time it is difficult to complete a lab in one class period if the students have not first practiced the lab configuration steps in Packet Tracer. I usually have them submit their completed packet tracer and check it before I allow them to go into the lab. In the old curriculum the labs were also included as packet tracer activities with the assessment already set up and this would make it much easier…

    Hello Eusebio,

Thank you very much for your feedback. Unfortunately there is no “Thanks” button in NetSpace to send gratitude to an academy’s ASC. If your academy would like to thank their ASC, please use the Message tool in the NetSpace communities or email.

  16. I wish the Create Activation button next to a name on the Manage Activations tab would take precedence and automatically reset the Due

I wish the Create Activation button next to a Student's name on the Manage Activations tab would take precedence and automatically reset the Due Date accordingly.

  18. Change modules RSS

It would be very good if students could sign to receive via e-mail changes made by instructors in Modules. For example, I just posted a link to a video in course modules. I have now to communicate all students via "inbox". It would be very good if it could happen automaticaly.

  20. Have tech support learn Packet Tracer and the curriculumn

Every time there's a problem with Packet Tracer, or curriculum issues, I get the same type of response "we are not trained in CCNA Curriculum and PT specifics"

This needs to stop! Tech support needs to add a department to handle these everyday issues...
