Until Date and Drag and Drop was closed inappropriately
This was closed:
"It appears that when and "Until Date" is set on an assignment, and then the drag and drop feature is used in Calendar to move the assignment to a new date, the "Until Date" is not adjusted to at least the "Due Date." This causes a loss of functionality in the Drag and Drop feature of the Calendar since I still have to go in and manually adjust the "Until Date." In addition, since the "Until Date" does not show up in the short-list of dates, it cannot be fixed without multiple clicks... "

3 votesThank you for the updated feedback, Roger, however this is functioning as designed. The ‘Until’ and ‘Due’ dates are two separate features. The ‘Until’ field is used to “lock” the assignment whereas the ‘Due’ field is used for display purposes on the students end to show when the assignment is due and when it will be marked as late if submitted past that selected due date. The ‘Until’ field locks the assignments so that no submissions are available after that date, if only a ‘Due’ date with no ‘Until’ date is selected then students can still submit the assignment. Since these are two different features they do not talk to each other to update each other when one is changed by the drag and drop feature. adding grading periods
Regular Canvas has a feature that allows for adding grading periods that can line up with 9 weeks grades. It would be good to have in the Cisco Academy as well. Especially for those of us who have High School Students.

Need a specific place where issues/changes to NetSpace are posted.
Need a specific place where issues/changes to NetSpace are posted. The files in communities has not been working for two weeks. For Example -There is no information posted about this and instructors are getting frustrated.

Eliminate ability to SPAM netspace
Recently we all received an Email addressed to 5,000+ instructors for a simple request for help. This SPAMming ability must be removed from Netspace. The question was more appropriate for the ASC the instructor was associated with.

I would like to create my own quizes: Mother Board identification
I would like to be able to create my own quiz questions to add to current quizzes or make a new quiz all together. I don't think it can be done now.

1 voteHello Greg, you will have the ability to create your own quizzes.
From your course home page you will be able to go to ‘Quizzes’ and click on ‘+Quiz’ to create a new quiz. You can also create question banks to pull questions from for different quizzes. For more information you can refer to the video tutorials:

Allow teachers to unlock student accounts after unsuccesful logins
Teachers should have the ability to unlock student accounts. A student should not have to wait 10-15 minutes to try to access their accounts. There should be a button on the class roster details (the place where we can reset password) that allows us to unlock the locked account.

Announcements to a certain e-mail address
Would it be possible to add a field to course announcements where instructor could fill in some e-mail addresses? Through that it would be possible to post an announcement to different group address for example facebook group wall.
1 voteIn the Announcements section you do have the ability to use the ‘RSS Feed’ function by clicking on ‘Add External Feed’. This way you can post on another wall and have it post on the Announcements page as well.

We should interpret that changes must be made to improve and facilitate the paperwork.

Automaticaly deactivate when excluding and activate exams when including a student
Before exclude a student now we have to deactivate exams of this student one by one.
Also when enrolling a new student we have to activate the exams all over again.
Is there any way to do this activations and deactivations automaticaly?1 voteSince you activate the exams when you students are enrolled you will also need to activate it for students who join your class late, or deactivate if they leave early. This is best done through the Activation Tool if you are using the Create Activations or the Manage Activation page in ‘Assignments’.

I takes too mulch clicks to communication with students
It takes too much "clicks" to communicate with students.
Suggestions:
1) Create a link to Inbox at Netspace home page. Now you have to enter in some class to have the link.
2) Inbox link inside a class should be link directly to Inbox class. No you have to browse all classes.1 voteOnce you are on the course home page you will have the ‘Inbox’ link in the upper left. This inbox feature can be used to communicate to all students by class. Click on the ‘contact’ icon to select a class(es).

Only allow students to access NetAcad thru 1 browser at a time
There is a potential cheating opportunity by students because they can have some else in the world log into their NetAcad ID and write their exams/test while the official student is pretending to write the exam/test. If a student was only allowed to log into 1 browser at a time then some else would not be able to use the same ID at the same time.

URGENT: Announcements seem no longer working
My students say that they are no longer receiving Announcements, neither related to Exams, not generated by me to inform them on news on the course. It seems this happened after the Netacad Home-page was changed recently.
Marco.1 voteThere was an issue which has been resolved. If your students are still not receiving notifications please have them follow these steps to ensure that they have verified their email address in the system in order to be able to receive them:
1. Log in to Cisco NetSpace at netacad.com.
2. Click on your name in the upper-right corner.
3. In your profile, under ‘Notification Preferences’, click on ‘Change Classroom Notifications’.
4. On this page, in the ‘Conversations’ section, make sure that preferences have been set. The best option would be the checkmark for ‘Notify me right away’.
From here, to verify your email address:
5. Click on ‘Settings’ on the left.
6. On the right, click on your email address.
7. Click ‘Re-Send Confirmation’.
8. Please be sure the message appears that says “Done! Message may take a few minutes”.
9. Close the pop-up box by clicking “Ok, Thanks”… -

Default and Batch Publication of Quizes
Now that it seems that Chapter Quizes are no longer available by default when a course is published (I didn't see any notification of this "new feature") two problems need to be addressed.
(1) As the Attachment-01 shows there is an inconsistency between the little green cloud icons on the Course Modules page, which denote that the item is published, when in fact for Quizes, none are published and consequently students cannot access them.
Only after the green cloud is clicked to "unpublish" an item does it then turn grey - but it

Provide Netspace APIs to Academies
If we can get the Application Programming Interface (API) we can use them to integrate internal systems in academies such as academy alumni, local researches (educational game access) institute management system (authenticate with local LDAP for wifi access) and many more local specialize activities without having many user accounts and passwords.never the less we can develop the next generation education platforms as well with the support of various supportive sources in all around the world.

Disable Canvas Email
Student's are using the email system in Canvas to email completed exams, both theory and practical, to themselves, then accessing that information during exams. I've disabled inter-student email exchange, however, it does not prevent student's from emailing themselves.
We've created a testing environment which utilizes the Windows Kiosk mode and prevents student's from accessing Internet resources, during exams, however, we need a way to completely disable email. This is a CRITICAL need.
This technique, combined with with the completed exams and instructors manuals available on the Internet are allowing cheating student's to make a mockery of the whole Cisco exam…

It would be easier if we can access our messages from a link on the home rather going inside to a class.

OPtion to Change the Home page of Manage Academy
When I click on the Academy name from the under the 'Manage Your Institutions' in the Manage Tab, I will get my Recent Activities. (see recent-activities image)
After then I have to go to the 'Course & Groups' on the top menu and select the same Academy name under the 'Managed Accounts' to list the tools to manage the academy such as courses, Users, Statistics, Permissions, Outcomes etc on the left menu bar. ( See Managed Accounts 01 and 02 images)
I think we can save time If you can provide 'change home page' facility like we have in each…
