Thank you for posting to share idea. Students are sent emails when registered into a course and to activate their account. We apologize for any confusion that may be happening. I encourage you to review the FAQs we have on login issues and how you as an instructor can resend certain emails to students if needed.

Practice class and teachers in the classroom.
CCNA 1 and 2 are not give us practice skills. Packet Tracer is not the real world. The students have no idea how to setup the rooter, switch and other devices. The teachers don't know how to teach and they do what they want. There are not any control on teachers. How do students learn to install a network if the teachers almost are sitting on their chairs in business and watching football on laptop? After I finished CCNA 1 and 2 my network skills are nothing. Sometimes I think that Cisco has no idea about the real academy world.

Re-enable instructor rights on exams.
Instructors used to be able to see what my students missed on Finals. This needs to be re-enabled so instructors can verify questions and answers from the students submission. Some questions are not in curriculum while others may be incorrect as with the modules exams. They excuse of new "secure final" is false. The course was compromised before it was even published officially.

There is a mistake in the name in Spanish of Module 5 in CCNAv7 course 1
The title in Module 5 of the course Introduction to Networks in CCNAv7 is "Las redes en la actualidad" which is the same as module 1, instead, title of Module 5 should be "Sistemas numéricos"

Support Assistance
Chat is not the best tool for trying to show a support technician the result that needs resolution. At Collin College we use Canvas LMS and although it has issues, it seems it has less roadblacks, hiccups and snafus than NetAcad does. The Grades task and application does not seem to be designed with the instructor in mind. When there are questions like why did it do that or where did that come from or why is showing me that or why did it go there, it would facilitate the resolution if I could show the the person how it…

Thank you for posting to Share Idea. The Support staff does have the ability to do WebEx sessions with individuals when/if needed. If you find you are having a difficult time discussing an issue in the Chat conversation please feel free to ask the agent if it would be possible to have a WebEx with them. Sometimes they can not do one at that moment but we can work with you to schedule a meeting.

wrong answer to a question - Networking Essentials Pretest Mod 4
It’s extremely easy to find the ID for a “hidden” network—all you have to do is use a utility like inSSIDer, NetStumbler, or Kismet to scan the network for a short while to show all of the current networks out there. It’s really that simple, and there’s plenty of other tools that do the same job — many of which are even free.

CCNAv7.0x ITN Video 1.5.6
The CCNAv7.0x ITN Video 1.5.6 works differently when actually implemented using PTv8.0 creating confusing results for the student. The the desktop and laptop workstations are created outside of the rack rather than on a table which is not created as shown in the video. This is not an accurate demonstration. I've enclosed my results when I follow the video step-by-step.

Incorrect Names upload via CSV and inability to correct the names
The csv upload student details option is not accurate as many times I realised that it does not upload the student first and last names as per the csv file. Furthermore, there is no option to edit and correct student first and last name. To add to the agony of the incorrect name reading off the csv file, if the instructor delete the student and tried to add them manually correctly, the system reject any updates and instead keeps adding the student with the same incorrect names as first uploaded. The following course CNI21-S1-PA has a student name PA19331153 when…

If you continue to have issues please contact the Support Desk. Below are a couple of items to keep in mind:
1) Once an account is created with an email address, regardless of the name you add to the CVS file, the name will not be updated in Cisco NetAcad. In your case this user was created in 2020 so when you added them in 2021, it used the same name that was already associated to the email address.
2) Students can change their names in Cisco NetAcad. If an account is accidentally created with the wrong name the student can update this in their profile.
3) If the CSV file is not working for you, I recommend looking into student tokens. This may help by allowing the student to register their account directly.

Backup Server for Netacad New Experience courses
7+ hour downtime for "New Experience" courses is not good. In the age of technology and failover, my goodness. This happened during Final Exam week for many of us and doesn't leave a good taste, especially since "offline course" shells have gone the way of the dodo with Netacad.com.

Make copying courses easier
If you try to import a course using what is available, you actually end up doubling everything. Since you have to create a course first you can (should) only import the course content. What would be nice is that when I select Create a Course I also get the option to import a course without having to create it and then have to go through the selection process or deleting everything that was duplicated.
