Export Grade book feedback to students
The Cisco Networking Academy at River Valley Community College uses the new Cisco Moodle platform and it works really well.
There are a few improvements that we have found as instructors that would help speed up the instructor response to students.
As far as meeting Federal Guidelines with Hybrid and Asynchronous courses we need to show our interaction with students on the weeks that they do not meet face-to-face with the instructor(s).

Aloow course feedback download
Unfortunately, it is not possible to export the "course feedback" and the assessment can only be viewed one question at a time via the “course feedback result” page.
Please allow course feedback to be downloaded so we can use it to improve our courses!

Please update Academy Orientation Curriculum
This answer is both not coved on module 1.3.0, and it is also conflicting with the information on the FAQ page. I believe this is referencing the legacy CCNAv6

All vocabulary words should be in quizlets.
I am at the end of Unit 1 in IT Essentials. Only a very small subset of the vocabulary words were reviewed. Not good. I want all of them.

Default Assignment Template Needed
When a class is created and a teacher decides to customize it with assignments, instead of setting the preferences for each assignment, there needs to be a way to set default assignment settings for the class.

Export events from only one course, not all courses.
Seems that when I export events from the Export Calendar page, it exports the events from all courses. I would like to see an option to choose a specific course to have events exported -- not all events from all classes I am teaching.

Acronym expansion on mouseover
There's a huge amount on acronyms in the curricula and I think it would ease the studies to expand them with a baloon on mouseover

be able to assign due dates to labs and PT within the curriculum
I would like to be able to assign due dates to the packet tracers and labs that are in the curriculum as assignments. Right now I have to upload the labs and PT into the file storage and create my own assignment. As they are already in the curriculum in the chapter they are associated with. Why not have those as assignments.

Add access to all Modules in the Courses at the top of the class
In the CCNA courses, in the modules there is a Modules #-# link to open the Course Content. We need a link that is placed at the top of the opening page for Modules 1-end. Students are spending too much time scrolling down, just to open course content.

Thank you for the suggestion. We are not able to implement this idea. Students can always click on the first chapter module and than go to another chapter once the curriculum launches.
Note: Students and instructors can use the chevrons to minimize sections of the course in order to scroll less.

Why Get Rid of the Single Course Content?
Why was course content broken down into groups of modules? I assign a module a week. I would like to be able to a) have one link to course content, or b) have a link to each module instead of a group of 2 or 3 modules. This will be confusing and frustrating to students.
I group Module 1 and all Module 1 assignments together. The same with Modules 2 and 3. Then I give the Module Group Exam after they have completed all modules in the group.

Report Card
If there was an OVERALL grade, this would be helpful. Since the majority of the curriculum is weighted it is hard to figure out the Overall grade in the class.

Improve IT Essentials Textbook
Please make the IT Essentials textbook more like the CCNA textbooks with objectives in the Introduction section of each chapter, even more interactive activities and self assessments in every section, and the side navigation that can be collapsed.

Allow for Extra Credit Assignments
In the legacy LMS, we could set the point value for an assignment to 0, which allowed creating optional, extra credit assignments. The new LMS requires a minimum point value of 1, which detracts from creating extra credit assignments.
Please change to allow setting point value of 0 when the instructor wants to create an entirely optional assignment that has no affect on student overall grade calculation of not completed/submitted.5 votesArchived ·AdminSandra Ray
