Update grade of 0 with current grade
I replace missing assignments with a zero. When the students make up that assignment or quiz, their grade in the gradebook is not updated since it's marked as override.

Thank you for posting to Share Idea. You can have zeros automatically added for assignments until a score is added. Please follow the steps in the FAQ titled "How can I treat ungraded assignments as zero (0) in the grade book?".
