Add "Turn on Editing" button
There needs to be a "Turn on Editing" button on the grade book page. If i need to manually enter a grade, I have to go back to the home page and turn on editing, then go to the grade book to add the grade.
1 voteDelivered · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for posting to Share Idea. The Turn Editing On button is available on the Gradebook page in the top right corner. Sometimes you have to scroll over to see this option.

Create more Cisco CCST certifications
Hi,
I'd like to suggest that Cisco create additional CCST certifications based on some of your other course offerings. For example, for IT Essentials, you could create "CCST: Device Configuration and Troubleshooting". For Linux, you could create "CCST: Linux Fundamentals".
Thank you for your consideration.
5 votesDelivered · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the suggestion. An announcement was posted in March to Cisco NetAcad about this. Please see the article at https://www.netacad.com/portal/news/i/new-ccst-certification-coming.

Exporting a course in Skills for All with Custom Assignments
I have found it important to create Custom Assignments and upload lab files in my Skills For All courses.
Without a course export and restore button, this platform does not scale for instructor led courses.
Can we please have this functionality asap as we depart the Moodle LMS of Netacad and arrive at Skills For All?3 votesDelivered · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for posting to Share Idea. You can copy an existing course in Skills for All. This will allow your customizations to be available in the new course.

Study Guides
In the older Netacad, there was a share area where instructors could share study guides and other assignments that they had created. I feel like Netacad should really think about making official study guides for ITE and CCNA as the students are then forced to go through the curriculum and answer the questions which helps them retain the materials much better than just reading it and doing the activities.

Allow Instructor to Check or Un-Check the Enable Additional Attempts Check Box
Please change the check box so that it is NOT disabled so that instructors can CHOOSE whether or not to require instructor to enable additional attempts on assessments. Apparently in this release of the curriculum (Intro to Networks v7.x) this optional has changed for the Practice Final Exam. I do not know why.
12 votesDelivered · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedWe have changed this feature for the CCNA 7 courses. When creating your class, please be sure to use the newest version to see these changes.

[New LMS] Move "Course completion" function to the Gradebook
Courses that require that Instructor sets the "course completion" checkbox for a student to grade the course was always in the gradebook in Canvas. Now in the new LMS is it not in the Gradebook, but well hidden under the "cog" on the main page (attached). For many instructors impossible to find. Please move this tool into the gradebook and make it easy to discover.
159 votesDelivered · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for your feedback. We have added a link to the Grades page called “Course Completion”. This link will quickly take you to the Course Completion page.

Reinstate 'advisor' role for new Moodle based Courses
Historically, the advisor role (and main contact) were able to see inside classes and offer support, admin and adjunct teaching - enabling busy Cisco Academies to delegate admin, have teacher support and scale delivery ... sadly, this role no longer works on the new Moodle experience - as far as we can ascertain, this can be reapplied, however our friends at Cisco need to understand if there is actual community interest/desire for this.
What this will do is potentially lock out courses and student admin when instructors leave, are ill or require support - which is an administrative concern.
254 votesDelivered · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the feedback. We have added a Course Facilitator role. This will allow the instructor to add a Contact, Staff, or Advisor to their course through the Edit Course page. The Course Facilitator will have the same functionality as an instructor.

Email - select all button!
There NEEDS to be a 'select all' button once you have chosen a class (and the group) of students you want to email.
I can't individually go through and click 100+ students in my class to be able to send out a group reminder!

Remove references to the old (Canvas) LMS
There are still some useless and misleading references to the old LMS (Canvas), for example in the FAQs. Please, remove them.
1 voteDelivered · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for posting to Share Idea. We are working to update the last of the English FAQs with old references to the Legacy site this week. If you continue to find items, please contact the Support Desk directly so we can work to correct.

Allow disabling "Enroll Now" fields, replacing them with a "Enrolment closed"
Self-paced courses are useful and can be setup easily. It would be great if we could keep the self-enrol page active, but limit additional enrolments.
This could simply be done by disabling the "Enrol Now" field, and replace them by a message saying "Enrolment is now closed".
72 votesDelivered · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the idea. We have added a feature to Self-Enroll page you can check to close the enrollment. Once you are on the self-enroll page settings you will see the following: "Close enrollment (prospective students can visit the self-enroll page, but will not be able to enroll) ".

Improve "Change language" hint screen
After reviewing the UX of the hint screen when "Change language" is clicked from My Profile area I think it would tremendously help to add 2 things to it:
1. This link to the FAQ: https://www.netacad.com/portal/faq-page/my-profile#t274n888
2. Image like the attached one, which is already in the FAQ, but would be great also to have it on that screen, maybe instead of “in upper right corner”1 voteThanks for your suggestion. This has been implemented.

I need to be able to choose MULITPLE questions out of a question bank, not just ONE!
Moodle has this capability, When I get to the question bank to add questions to a quiz, there is even a button that says 'Add all selected items", but there is no way to select multiple items!
4 votesDelivered · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the suggestion. We have implemented this change in Cisco NetAcad.

Reinstate the ability to copy from another course
New new experience should be in place before new experience course go live. As instructors, we are not using the academy for experimentation. We're using them to teach full course loads. Course copy is not something, I or anyone I work with, consider as n option feature. Please fix it.
86 votesThanks for your suggestion. This has been implemented for the new experience.

have the ability to uncheck a students course completion
with the new experience on NETACAD, I accidentally checked the box that stated the student had completed the course. I contact support and they sent it up to the next level. They stated there is no way to uncheck that box once its checked. this needs to be fixed, if i did it by accident, im sure more will do the same. Even if we had to contact support to get them to uncheck the box that would still work. At this time i have a student that cant do anything in the class because i cant uncheck this box
