Provide an additional msi packet for Packet Tracer installation
Provide an additional msi packet for Packet Tracer installation, because all installation in school are made by Active Directory or other Microsoft installation tools. Now hand made installation is necessary for more than 200 PCs. Other scripted solutions are not practible in our environment.
1 voteArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the suggestion. The Packet Tracer team said they would add this to their list of enhancements for the future.

Make website colour-screen more useful to eye-sight impaired and in low light.
The current Academy (and Cisco) colour-scheme can be substantially improved for best outcomes for those with impaired eyesight (or even normal eyesight), including login-screens. The coloured fonts used are small and give poor resolution with any but the best screens, they cause unneccessary glare and waste display power.
I suggest a review and upgrade by a committee with adequate visual ergonomics qualifications and the upgrade to a new scheme across the whole area.
Advantages: Less power wasted in most Host screens, fewer keying mistakes (and hence less tech Support needed), clearer messages (and hence less Tech Support again), longer and…

Suggestions and Request
I would like to bring this to your attention that the current system ,the instructors cannot rest passwords for students as per the previous system the way it used to be.
And currently we have an outreach that we are carrying out, were we are dealing with the community who need our support and it’s in rural and some urban areas where internet and computers are still for sharing and some of the students are still computer illiterate . So I humbly request the developer and Cisco Technical Team to return THE RESET PASSWORD LINK FOR THE INSTUCTORS due to the…

Make it possible to select multiple submission types, such as Paper and Online submission
I would like to be able to set up an assignment to indicate that either PAPER submission or ONLINE submission can be used. I currently select ONLINE submission, since I have to do that before students will be able to upload files. But, I prefer and MOST assignments are submitted on paper. When I configure online submission, students get a nag flag after the assignment due date has passed, even though they have submitted the assignment on paper and I have entered a score for the assignment. They only way they can get rid of the nag flag is to…

"Conclude Course" Bring it back. Umm... 165 courses and counting in the I'm Teaching page
As instructors we need a way to clean up our "I'm Teaching" page. I have 165 courses showing from 2015 onward.
The only way to remove a course is to "Unenroll Students" and "Delete the course" and remove the ability for a student to get their certificate or view the previous content.
Cisco support recommends we do not delete our courses. So what shall i do in another 5 years when I have 330+ courses in my "I'm Teaching" page?
This has also broken the Packet Tracer Activity Grader as this program now fails to pull down my course list…
3 votesThanks for the suggestion. We will look an alternative solution to concluding courses that we think will satisfy your request.

Packet Tracer 101 course in Spanish
Some students of mine are asking for a Packet Tracer course in Spanish.
I think it would be very helpful for spanish-speaking students to better understand the basics of networking and Packet Tracer.1 voteArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the suggestion. We will look into having the Intro to Packet Tracer course translated in the future. We do not except this to be completed in the next 6 months.

can you add hidden/reveal gear to hide some courses and not get confused
1 voteArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedWe have filters for instructors to use on their I’m Teaching page. You can search by key word such as CCNA or you can limit the courses you view by status such as In Progress. We will continue to look at additional ways to make this page better such as archiving courses in thr future.

PT Passwords should be in netacad, not in the community forum
An instructor asked where the password for PT activities for IT-E was, and I didn't know. Turns out it is in the Community Forum, but you have to search for it.
This seems a bit weird. Why would the community have the password? It seems to me it should be where instructors can easily access it.thanks so much
Karen
7 votesThanks for the feedback. The passwords are in the instructor PPTs and in the community forum. No plans to change this at this time.

Secondary ID is not visible in Grade book.
Sir/Madam,
In the Academy students will have registered numbers as their secondary ID (Ex: 199331A0501, 19331A0502, .... so on). If we get Secondary ID in the grade book, It will be easy for us to manage.1 voteThank you for the suggestion. Currently you can see the secondary ID when you export the gradebook. Unfortunately we will not be able to implement your suggestion at this time.

fix the Packet Tracer installer
I just installed PT 7.3, still had 7.1 on my system. The installer didn't remove the old version, so I ran the 7.1 uninstaller, which promptly removed both versions. The installer/uninstaller should be a little smarter than that!
1 voteArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the suggestion. You are correct new packet tracer installations will not automatically uninstall older versions. This is by design. They are looking into why uninstalling removes both versions.

seat tokens registration
- When registering students in a course using seat tokens:
- The fields of the form after successful submitting still appear for the students, this will lead many students to submit again then the message "Seat token has already been redeemed." appear. (this makes a conflict). I think it is better to remove the fields after successful submit or redirect to another page.
- the email received after submitting the seat token marked as Spam. So many students say (We didn't receive an email).
- The process of registering the students using seat token is very helpful, but it is complicated because there are…
1 voteArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the information regarding seat tokens.
We have tested and we have not been able to duplicate the issues you described. When redeeming seat tokens a success message appeared letting the user know to check their email.
We do ask all users to ensure they can receive email from noreply@cisco.com and noreply@netacad.com. This is in the login FAQs in Cisco NetAcad and in the pre-login pages.
We appreciate your suggestions to limit the number of steps students have to take to register an account. We will continue to work on ways to improve this process.

Saving Course Progress (across Devices)
It seems that the Progress in a Course is Not saved AT all. Its annoying that I've to lookup "recent pages" to continiue where I left the Course before.
In Addition It would be very nice when the Course continiue AT opening where I left it no matter which Device I use.1 voteArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the suggestion. We are not able to implement at this time but we will keep this in mind for future releases.

How to show last and first names
Users' names should be shown in the format:
Lastname, FirstName
and should be sortable.
Right now users are shown in the format:
Firstname Lastname
and are not sortable
I'm referring to the "Course details" page and to the Gradebook, from "I'm Teaching" view, but also to Users page from "I'm managing".4 votesArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the suggestions. We are continually looking for ways to improve the system. This enhancement request is not something we can implement at this time but will be considered in the future.

Replace CCNA Sec
This is from on of our supported academies:
Since CCNA Security is going away as a certification, are there any plans to develop an alternate security-focused course aside from Cyberops? I would love to see Netacad offer 300-701, the CCNP Security Core. That way, we can replace the CCNA security with the Security Core course and students can still earn a Specialist designation and/or go on to earn a CCNP-Security.
Thanks,

course history of a student
To resolve 'conflicting activation', I would like to get the history of all the classes of a student.
1 voteArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the idea. We are not able to implement at this time. We will archive this suggestion to be able to keep in mind for future releases.
Please note: If you have any issues with conflicting activations, please contact the Support Desk for their help. We also recommend instructors do a bulk deactivate of exams at the end of their course to help with these issues.

Reset of pwd of students
i like the old one where i can reset their pwd most stud forgot pwd not only with their netacad pwd but also with their emails
If i can reset their pwd then it will be much easier if they do forgot pwd in their email or if their email was compromised
1 voteArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the suggestion. NetAcad is now using Cisco.com authentication. This change was implemented to conform NetAcad security standards to Cisco’s security policies.
While you cannot reset your student’s password, if your student has entered their mobile phone they can use this or email to reset their password. In addition, you can edit their email address to resend the activation email if their email address was compromised.
