Navigating from assignment to assignment
When making changes to assignments it would be nice if there was a link to the next assignment in the group not just the next item in the module.
A prev & next link to item in category as well would be very helpful.
Currently we have to click on the category name in the breadcrumbs then scroll down to locate the next assignment (or quiz etc..) to edit it.

Student messaging during an exam
I understand that thru the "people" tab students can send messages to each other even when taking an exam.....And if you make the people tab unavailable they are cut off from messaging the Instructor. Can you modify this so that we can block student to student messaging during an exam without having to turn it off manually during an exam, then turning it back on after the exam.
So I saw Dave Free's response, but it still involves a manual intervention. So I am posting this again.
My students haven't figured this out yet but it is just a matter…

Netspace Turkish Language Translation
Hi,
We are on a work of translating the language of Netacad system for 3 months. I'm sending you the file that was already translated with addition. We want the turkish language on netcad system. Thanks9 votesHi Oguzhan,
Please submit this to Instructure. We don’t handle the Canvas translations. Once this is implemented, it will move into NetAcad.
Thank you. -
chapter weighting
My idea has been closed twice. I will ask again for an easier solution.
In the old grade book I could set the weight for each chapter. e.g. I think chapter 3 should have a weight of 3 instead of a default of 5 but yet I feel chapter 8 should have a weight of 9. There are many reasons a teacher may wish to adjust weights. The answers I have been given are confusing at best and involve many steps. It should be easy to set each chapter to a default and allow instructors to adjust.1 vote -
Show the user login name on the Manage User page
I did a mistake. I added twice the same student. I would like to delete the second one (the wrong) but they can be distinguish only by login name which is not included on the Manage User page.
This information is also not displayed in detailed information of selected student.1 vote -

Create a way to easily link to labs when creating assignments.
When creating assignments it would be helpful if there was a way to quickly link to the pages in the text where the labs are. I have a list of quick links I can add on the right hand side of the "edit assignment" window that lets me add links to each chapter or each exam, but nothing for quickly linking to the individual labs, packet tracers, or activities.

Enhanced Student Activity Tracking
I propose a suite of enhanced individual student activity tracking tools, perhaps on an individual student activity history page. This will allow us to more closely monitor effort compared to student outcomes. Events might have optional Instructor Notifications via email, text or Canvas Inbox, granular to the individual student level, to more intensively monitor low-performing students and permit immediate Instructor communication and reinforcement. To start the brainstorming:
- Individual student Netspace login/logout events, and elapsed time.
- Student completes an Assessment, with grade and elapsed time. (I don't believe we currently have access to complete Assessment history.)
- Student accesses curriculum, with pages…

Announcments
I would like to have a better announcment procedure. If I send an announcment to my students it would be good if everybody would receive a popup window, that an announcment has just been received.
Thanks

Expand All option in Activation Tool (Manage Activations)
I would appreciate an "Expand All" option in the Activation Tool (Manage Activations). It would save a lot of time when I have a number of changes to make.

Have tech support learn Packet Tracer and the curriculumn
Every time there's a problem with Packet Tracer, or curriculum issues, I get the same type of response "we are not trained in CCNA Curriculum and PT specifics"
This needs to stop! Tech support needs to add a department to handle these everyday issues...

When creating an assignment from the assignments page in Canvas, it is automatically added to the Calendar on the date you enter. If you don't set a date on the assignment you can still see it on the calendar view by clicking on the "undated events" link on the right pane of the Calendar. You can then drag it on to the calendar.
If you are not seeing the assignments from your course on the calendar make sure the course calendar is checked "on" in the right pane. Moving an item around on the calendar automatically updates the dates on…1 voteHi Miguel,
