    it would be great if we could filter by country fwhen searching for instructor awards recipients - the current by theatre is much too coarse and produces too many responses

  3. Edit Upcoming and Previous courses in Academy Locator

    Let us edit the upcoming and previous courses liste in Academy Locator.
    We can use it as a calendar of courses.
    In this moment, we cannot edit this info (which are automatically retrived) and only course offerings are shown (i.d. the list of curricula offered instead the list of upcoming or previus courses/classes)

    Hello Maurizio,

    The Previous and Upcoming Courses list in the Academy Locator is pulled directly from the courses that are published in NetSpace. So the course information can only be edited from there.

  6. Window size option

    Make windows wider with smaller side bars. I am missing info because I don't always see the scrolle bars. Or can we size the sidebars???

  7. do not change vote automatically gained by students

    Do not allow an instructor to change the point gained in a test. The instructor can already change the weight

  8. Add field to name for Jr, SR, II, 3rd, etc

    A couple of my students have a suffix attached to their name such as "Jr". There currently is no place to place this information other than in first name or last name. Help desk has recommend 1st name, but really it needs to be a separate field.

  9. Stop sending messages to students when we change something

    I would really like to control what messages go out to students when I work in the class. For example, former students are still getting messages, even when I do a simple copy- I know they can turn off the feature, but I should be able to do that as well.

  11. Be able to "Like" file in the Files section

    It would be nice to be able to "Like" files in the download section. It would help in distinguish the resources that instructors submit that are more beneficial. We used to have a rating system in the old file sharing sysytem

  12. Modify Conclude and Permanently delete course buttons

    Issue: Manual conclude course hyperlink is in a poor location. It is located under the 'Permanently Delete this Course' button.

    One could understand the concern of pushing said button when the data / course is something that cannot afforded to be lost.

    Story:
    The issue i had today was trying to conclude a course from 2013. Attempting to adjust the end date of the course wouldn't work and resulted in an error message:

    "The duration of this course must be between {0} days and {1} days. Please adjust the start and end dates to meet this criteria."

  13. Download messaging activity exchange for time accounting purposes

    It would be useful to downnload the exchange of messages between Instructors and students. Not messages themselves, but summarized information showing Course ID, Instructor/Student and the date and time of each message.

    This way instructors can show the portion of workload on-line and face-to-face courses entail regarding NetSpace.

  14. peer review (grading)

    Is there a way to have each member of a group grade their peers?
    I have tried to build an assignment but I have not been able to make one work well. It seem to me if I could get access to the survey form in the assignments that may work.

  15. Bridging Courses (Routing, Switching, Connecting Networks) continuation

    Hi!
    When new version of CCNA (i.e. CCNA RS) was announced, during all of the instructor meetings (and personally i was on meetings in CIS and Nordic Countries) we were told that we can choose by ourselves model of giving material - either in top-down with Exploration-like education or bottom-up. Nobody told anything that this will disappear after one year. Here at my university CCNA course is a part of university program and this should be agreed with lot of persons to be launched. More important i can't just go and say "Hey you know, that course we arranged and…

    We have been communicating this message for the past 12 months:
    - Cisco Networking Academies’ recommended CCNA R&S course sequence is: Introduction to Networks, Routing and Switching Essentials, Scaling Networks and Connecting Networks
    - All academies need to plan for the transition to Cisco Networking Academies’ recommended CCNA R&S course sequence, and as soon as they can
    - 3 transitional courses were developed to support the academies during the transition for different reasons, e.g. curricula committee approval, course release timing, lesson plan creation, etc.
    - The 3 transitional courses will not be translated and will be end-of-life 12 months after we release all of the courses (in English)

    BTW, I believe you actually refer to the transition courses when you said “bridging courses”.

    Los NetAcad Contact de cada academia deberian tener la facultad de poder modificar los nombres de TODOS los cursos creados en la misma academia siendo o no siendo instructores primarios o secundarios. De esta manera el NetAcad Contact puede tener una nomenclatura estandar para los cursos de su Academia.

  19. Is there some way to disable students access to the Inbox feature during class?

    I have had reports from academies of students accessing this feature dring class to share test answers.

    Hi Jim,

    The NetAcad Contact or Success Lead at your institution can disable this for the academy. Here are the steps:

    -Click on Manage tab
    -Click on Institution
    -Hover over Courses and click on Managed Accounts (choose institution)
    -Click on Permissions

    The following options are available to enable/disable:
    -Send messages to individual course members
    -Send messages to entire class

    Hello Stephen,

    You can have an access to the ASC Dashboard from the Access Academy Reports link under the Manage tab in NetSpace. From the ASC Dashboard, the Academy Instructors tab will provide the contact information for the instructors at the ASC’s supported academies.
