  1. I need to create a new offering for IT Essentials

    I am attempting to close last year's offering of a course, so that I may reuse IT Essentials course this semester. I'm having a difficult time "resetting" the course to keep module and assignment materials, but delete the old class roster.

  2. Instructions on how to use the forums

    In the community forums it would be very useful to have a link to instructions on how to use the forums. For example, I'd like to attach a document to a reply, but I cannot see how to do it. I guess I could start a new thread and ask experienced users how they do it.

  3. ITE Alumni access to materials

    Hello All,
    Regarding ITE Alumni:
    It appears that after the ITE course is completed and the instructor closes the course students are unable to visit the course materials anymore through their login.
    I can recall that students doing the CCNA can still read materials after the course is closed. E.g. I have completed recently both CCNA 1 and 2. The course is closed but when I login I can still read the course chapters.
    I understand that students have to currently send a request to have it turned on so they can still access the information.

    Hi Kevin,

    Thanks for your feedback. NetSpace students should have access to the closed classes they took, this applies to CCNA and ITE. They will only lose access if the class is deleted by the instructor and only Academy Connection students need to request access but mainly because they need a NetSpace account created.

  4. Permanently delete this course... from OUTSIDE the course!

    It's not easy to remember, because misplaced, the way to remove a course one can create for test purposes. As Create a Course is done in the Home, the same should be available for deleting it (i.e. right click on the course, or similar...). Today the function is from inside the Settings of the Course... crazy!

  7. Updated Date when editing Announcements

    I use the Announcement Link regularly on each student class for job/internship applications, graduation applications, new Academy courses and programs, etc. When I update an Announcement, the original date of creation still appears. Students use the Announcement Link, view the announcement title and date, but don’t click or read the edited announcement, assuming it hasn’t been updated. Could the edited date appear on the Announcements, rather than the original creation date?

  8. Display the Institution ID!!!!!!!!!!

    We currently have multiple students with the same last and first names...PLEASE display the institution ID when listing enrolments and allow us to search using the ID. It's the only field that does not and cannot be changed!

    We have decided to remove the field from the NetSpace User Interface. I apologize in advance for any frustration this may cause and ask for your patience as we work on the best way to support the Institution Student IDs.

  9. Sample PTSA to fully test Assessment Environment

    I think it would be helpful for there to be a sample PTSA that was easy to set up and launch. This would help us fully test the assessment environment and know that the PTSA would launch. Much time can be lost troubleshooting right before the test even when Java is updated and the environment checker is used.

  10. Instructor need to have the ability to change student email accounts

    Instructor need to have the ability to change student’s email accounts. It is quite unforgiving in this area. Weather it may be due to an entry typo, misinformation, etc., it would be nice for instructor to have the ability to edit a student’s email account.

    Hi Rodney,
    Due to legal concerns, we can only allow users to edit their own names and email addresses. However, as an instructor, if a student loses their password or forgets their username you can go to the course info page (click on the gear icon next to the course name) and in the student section view the student’s user name and reset their password.

  11. CCNA-S Grade Book

    I would like the CCNA-S course Grade Book default to the Weighted score. As I understand it, the Grade Book now defaults to the Binary score. A check box providing the option would be the best solution.

  12. Enrolling Students, use CAPS as default

    Lock the enrolling student name to CAPS as default so that student name will be in capital letter. it appears good in certificate when it is all CAPS not sentence case.

  13. Middle name column should be included in the NetSpace Profile !!

    Students kept complaining the Middlename column should be included in their NetSpace Profile, particularly so as to ensure, they dont have to keep including their Middlename in the Firstname column and falsefully made to accept/believe their Firstname is now their "Firstname + Middlename".

    Some just omit their middlename and end up not having their fullnames listed on their Results and certificates.

    Its been really worrisome and a lot of concern for students. As some of them just end confusing their names for each other.

    Please help, this has really been a long standing problem.

    Thank you for your suggestion. The enhancement team has tried to make it possible to give different options for requesting the certificates and letters. Currently Students will be able to access these from their profile page and Instructors will be able to do this for their Students from the Course Management page. – NetAcad Support

  15. Customize summary chapter exams

    It would be an interesting possibility to be able to generate a new summary chapter exam from a random selection of existing chapter exams thus taking benefit form the online assessment system!

  18. OPtion to Change the Home page of Manage Academy

    When I click on the Academy name from the under the 'Manage Your Institutions' in the Manage Tab, I will get my Recent Activities. (see recent-activities image)

    After then I have to go to the 'Course & Groups' on the top menu and select the same Academy name under the 'Managed Accounts' to list the tools to manage the academy such as courses, Users, Statistics, Permissions, Outcomes etc on the left menu bar. ( See Managed Accounts 01 and 02 images)

    I think we can save time If you can provide 'change home page' facility like we have in each…

  19. request certificates about completing CCNA course in english if students study course in russian

    Can I as instructor request certificates about completing CCNA course in english if students study course in russian? Now i can download certificates in russian just. But we have students from different countries, arabian for example. They want to study in russian, but they need certificates in english.

  20. In "Manage Activations" view, instructor able to see the dates of the current activation.

    I would like to be able to see when currently active assessments started and will end when I am in the Manage Activations view.
