  2. Update lab images for Windows 10

    Since Windows 7 is no longer going to be supported in 2020, a lot of schools are moving to Windows 10. The current labs for CCNA curriculum have images that are from Windows 7. A significant number of students are going to be lost when the lab images don't match what they see on their screens because they are using Windows 10 machines.

  4. Assessment answers need to have only one distinguishable correct answer

    CCNA2 R&S - Chapter 4 exam has question regarding Layer 2 Switch functionality. Yet again there are two answers that contain two almost indistinguishable answers from each other.
    "learns the port assigned to a host by examining the destination MAC address"

    "determines which interface is used to forward a frame based on the destination MAC address"

    All proper assessment models state that there should be only one distinguishable proper answer. Nearly every Cisco assessment contains at least one question that has two answers with slightly different wording that can be misinterpreted to mean the same thing. Incorrect answers should contain…

  6. Get rid of forcing people to regularly update passwords

    The NetAcademy password update policy follows poor security practices

    Regular updates of passwords without being able to reuse an existing password leads to people choosing poor passwords as they need to be constantly reset

  7. problem to load packet tracer exams

    It will be better if you (cisco) develop your own tools for the pachet tracer because many student find difficulties to load online packet tracer exams .
    I configure java and flash player but most of computers can't load packet tracer exams. thank you very much.

  9. View inactive users

    Once a user has been deleted (due to the above reasons), the system shoudl not default back to page 1 of user list, but stay in its current location.

    Already available: Users who have the NetAcad Lead role within their organization should have the ability have a list of students who's email are not verified, or have never logged to the system, so that database can be kept clean.

  11. Allow instructor to change the date settings of Students profile

    Allow instructor to change or set a unique date format for all the class, So this way could avoid differente date formats for the students when they or the instructor download the certificates and letters.

  12. Improve Internal Server Error UX

    In Chrome some students experienced an Internal Server Error when they navigated to the a specific page "assignments" like Chapter 1 exam.
    Maybe it can be a cache related error but, because Netacad involves a lot of students, it could be more useful to catch the error in back end and give friendly information to the students.

  13. Provide a place for Academy administrators to sign in the students course completion certificate

    Provide a place for Academy administrators and the Instructors to sign in the students course completion certificate. This will give more value and credibility to the Certificates.

  15. Use Netriders PT Skills as Advanced challenge labs in R&S courses

    I teach Linux using the netacad.com LPI Linux Essentials course. Within the course are four challenge labs at the end of the modules.

    Cisco is not running the Netriders competition this year, and seemingly has run Netriders for the last time.

    What is the possibility Cisco would release the Netriders competition PT skills exams as advanced challenge labs within the R&S curriculum?

  17. Disable option for students to use Canvas to email the INSTRUCTOR

    I recently learned that the NetAcad contact has the option to disable Canvas email between students to deter cheating. But the students can still email the teacher. Most education institutions require the students to use their organization email address to keep official records of student/teacher correspondence. Recommend that the academy contact be allowed to disable the email option within Canvas completely. In my case this is presented to the students on day one through their Student Handbooks but students take the easier way out and still email me using canvas.

  18. More Formatting Capability for the Rubric

    Provide more formatting capability for the Rubric. When setting up rubrics for labs, it looks more like run-on sentences. It would make it easier to design the rubric.

  19. LMS Integration (e.g. Canvas LMS)

    We are very interested in LMS Integration right into the Canvas LMS used at our University.

    Some companies such as TestOut, Skillsoft Practice Labs and more integrate directly into the schools LMS - we use "Canvas" by Instructure and have employed deep links and LTI integrations to simplify the students and faculty access. The company TestOut also uses Canvas and I could not help but notice that Cisco uses Canvas as well. (Wondering if that would make the effort easy)

    • The benefit of the LTI integration is grades automatically come over to the LMS so grading is a snap…

  20. Add Students to existing activations

    When students join the Class after I have made activations. I have to make extra activations for those students. It would be better if I can add those students to an existing activation.
