Disable option for students to use Canvas to email the INSTRUCTOR
I recently learned that the NetAcad contact has the option to disable Canvas email between students to deter cheating. But the students can still email the teacher. Most education institutions require the students to use their organization email address to keep official records of student/teacher correspondence. Recommend that the academy contact be allowed to disable the email option within Canvas completely. In my case this is presented to the students on day one through their Student Handbooks but students take the easier way out and still email me using canvas.


Thank you for the suggestion. We have talked to the Canvas team and this is an idea they have received outside of the Cisco environment. They do not have a lot of votes so the enhancement is not something they are able to implement at this time. They will keep this in mind for the future.
