Having several sections within the same class
On Netspace it is possible to define groups of students for grading assignments but it would be even better if the groups of students could be managed as a separate section of the same class.
The class can share content and material, but assignments and dates could be different for different groups.
There is a similar characteristic on Moodle ... I'm not sure about Canvas43 votesThank you for your suggestion, Claudia. Per Cisco policy, this will not be implemented at this time.

Inbox best performance request
Since the Inbox version was launched, I cannot send messages anymore. I am instructor of many courses, maybe because of this, it takes so much time to load messages (when it loads!). When I click new message and fill "To:" I have to wait about 5 minutes to appear the list of classes. Then finally when I write the message and click "Send", many often the message is not sent and no error message appears. It is a very important educational tool that now is useless for me, I have to use the Announcements instead, in each class.

OPtion to Change the Home page of Manage Academy
When I click on the Academy name from the under the 'Manage Your Institutions' in the Manage Tab, I will get my Recent Activities. (see recent-activities image)
After then I have to go to the 'Course & Groups' on the top menu and select the same Academy name under the 'Managed Accounts' to list the tools to manage the academy such as courses, Users, Statistics, Permissions, Outcomes etc on the left menu bar. ( See Managed Accounts 01 and 02 images)
I think we can save time If you can provide 'change home page' facility like we have in each…

I need to create a new offering for IT Essentials
I am attempting to close last year's offering of a course, so that I may reuse IT Essentials course this semester. I'm having a difficult time "resetting" the course to keep module and assignment materials, but delete the old class roster.

Permanently delete this course... from OUTSIDE the course!
It's not easy to remember, because misplaced, the way to remove a course one can create for test purposes. As Create a Course is done in the Home, the same should be available for deleting it (i.e. right click on the course, or similar...). Today the function is from inside the Settings of the Course... crazy!

Discussion Topic carry through multiple courses
It would be nice to create one discussion topic that maybe carried through multiple courses.
e.g. created in ITN and then able to be populated into RSE, SN, CN

Move Packet Tracer download link to main instructor page
Similar to a couple of other instructors, it should be easier for instructors to find and download Packet Tracer.
For students, the link is on their main login page. It should be there for instructors as well. Best I can do is click Resources then navigate; it's several clicks to get to the downloads.It would also be nice to make a link available within the Canvas course; that way, I can put the link to PT on the main student page there. While they do see it on their main page, having it in the course page would be…

Back and forth from Class gear to Classe manage
From the gear associate to a Class you have the Button "Go to Class" for going to the main page of Class management. BUT you do not have the reverse button to go from the Class management page to the gear (Instructors, Students, Certificates, end so on).

Turkish Language Option of Cisco NetSpace
Hi All,
We first submitted the Turkish Languages Cisco Netspace about selection "Share Idea" on Jan 23, 2014. Canvas Instructure system has completed the transition to the Turkish Language. We have a request of Turkish translation of Cisco Netspace to Instructure after supporting the implementation of Canvas. You may Netspace Cisco scheduled this issue.Thanks

Cannot order in "Accredit Instructors" screen. Filter by grade.
In ITC "Accredit Instructors" screen, ordering by grades is not working.
Also it would be very nice if we could filter the list by grade, for example, "acredit all students with grade grater then 80".4 votes -
Auto save draft messages in Inbox
It would be nice to auto-save messages when writing them in Inbox. It happened to me a couple of times to write a lengthy reply to a student or a class and when I pressed send, I got an error message and I had to re-write everything. Auto save or at least on the event of an error to keep the message it would be great. Also I think that Shift+Enter key combination when writing should not send the message and just move to the next line.

Quiz-maker: Question details not available when more than 25 !
Please make "question details" available when creating tests with more then 25 questions. Proofreading is really hard now.

For the time being this is not something that Canvas plans on changing. This is to prevent page load times from spiking too high for the larger quizzes.
Please know, this is a core Canvas issue that exists in all instances and not just NetSpace, due to page load times.
An alternative is to break up the question banks (create smaller banks), possibly by topics or another category.

Announcement
When posting an announcement, please give us the capability to:
- attach multiple files;
- refer and link files published in the "Files" section (e.g. when we insert an image in the home page we can specify it has been uploaded in canvas files section)1 vote -

Make windows wider with smaller side bars. I am missing info because I don't always see the scrolle bars. Or can we size the sidebars???

Is there some way to disable students access to the Inbox feature during class?
I have had reports from academies of students accessing this feature dring class to share test answers.

The NetAcad Contact or Success Lead at your institution can disable this for the academy. Here are the steps:
-Click on Manage tab
-Click on Institution
-Hover over Courses and click on Managed Accounts (choose institution)
-Click on PermissionsThe following options are available to enable/disable:
-Send messages to individual course members
-Send messages to entire classI hope this helps!

Copy assignment within same class
It would be helpful if we could copy assignments within the same class. I create a single assignment with settings that are the same for ALL assignments (but not attach files etc...) and make X copies of it. Then all I need to to is alter directions and add appropriate files etc...

Instrucctor File storage area
I would like to see a single files area for me as an instructor. Since I teach several courses, I use the same files for many of the courses. For example, I teach RNS1 in the fall for a High School and a College and again in the spring for a college.
I have found errors in the PacketTracer labs that I are embeded in the curriculum. When I find an error and fix it, I have to remove the current one from every course I am using it in adn I have to upload it to each course and…2 votes
