  1. CyberOps Associate nswer key 7

For the CyberOps Associate lab 27.2.16: Investigating an Attack on a Windows Host, in Part 1 Step 2.g.iv the answer key appears to have a typo. It refers to a keylogger possibly sending keystroke information to a "C2C server". This should probably read C&C or C2 server, for "command-and-control" (instead of consumer-to-consumer).

  2. Urgent: Tech Support Needed

I have a student who is not being populated on several exams in the course, but is on others. Terrence Whitlock's name does not show on the blanket list of activated students (for my CSIA115 section) for the following exams: Chaps 1-2, 3-4, 5-10, and 18-20.

  3. Typo in Lab 17.1.7

In Part 1.n.1 the PC's IP addresses are supposed to match VM to pcap, but do not (based on the NDG lab configuration). One bears 192.168.0.12 and the other 192.168.0.10

    Thanks,

  4. Typo in Packet Tracer 12.1.9

In Step 1 part b, instructions say students should click view previous events in list as opposed to clicking Clear Events, if the buffer full error presents. Unless I'm missing something, I think it's supposed to be Clear Events to correct the buffer full issue during the activity.

  5. Fix SRWE 2.1.8 and ITN 7.3.6

The interactive Activity "Switch It" in SRWE 2.1.8 and ITN does not work correctly when you click the "Check" button. Sometimes it says "Incorrect" but when you click "Show Me" it is obviously correct.

  7. 3.2.5 flow error?

    Hi,
Attached is a contradictory flow that matches better shared content in the CyberOps Associate textbook section 3.2.5 Windows Boot Process. Again, the wording is correct in the textbook section, but the diagram has MBR and POST misplaced. The attached flow is from CompTIA A+ Guide to IT Technical Support 11th Edition. I may also consult that author.
    Thanks,
    Prof Alf

  8. ITN Packet Tracer 10.4.3

Students aren't ready for IPv6 yet. This packet tracer (ITNv7 10.4.3) needs to moved down below the IPv6 module.

  10. ASDM Network Security

In the security course I can no longer reach the ASA5505 via ASDM.
    Lab ASA5505 Basic Settings

We have switched all computers to Win10.
    It's a clean install.
On other computers we migrated from Win7 to Win10.
    There are no problems there.

I'm getting various error messages on Win10.
An important Windows function seems to be missing.
    I couldn't find a solution via Google.
I have tried the connection via various browsers.

    On Chrome and Edge:
    192.168.1.1 uses an unsupported protocol
    ERRSSLVERSIONORCIPHER_MISMATCH

  11. False answer in the curriculum 4.1.1 quiz

The option as answer to the 3. question is false stating: "If there are no matching ACEs in the ACL, the packet is forwarded because there is an implicit permit ACE automatically applied to all ACLs."

It's supposed to be: "If there are no matching ACEs in the ACL, the packet is discarded because there is an implicit deny ACE automatically applied to all ACLs." as reflected in the feedback popup.

  13. Last three questions in 4.5.2 quiz are beyond the scope

In 4.5.2 quiz there last three questions are beyond the scope of chapter 4 (as they are covered later in chapter 5):

    1. A college student is studying for the Cisco CCENT certification and is visualizing extended access lists. Which three keywords could immediately follow the keywords permit or deny as part of an extended access list? (Choose three.)

    2. If the provided ACEs are in the same ACL, which ACE should be listed first in the ACL according to best practice?

    3. Which operator is used in an ACL statement to match packets of a specific application?

  14. Wrong output shown in 5.2.2

It says "Assume that ACL 1 has now been corrected. Therefore, the incorrect ACL must be deleted, and the corrected ACL 1 statements must be pasted in global configuration mode, as shown in the output."

But in the second output still the wrong IP of 19.168.10.10 is set.

  15. CCNA 7: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials

hello, this is not an idea.
but I think that I find a contradict (may be an error).
In course CCNAV7: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials (1.2.6) the Figure shows that the interface operates in Full-duplex and have collisions (see attached No. 2). While any networking materials (2.2.1) say no collision will happen in Full-duplex mode. (See attached No.1)
    Thank You.

  17. I would really like to be able to use a fully specified static route in Packet Tracer ;)

the curriculum is encouraging the use fully specified static routes, so it makes no sense that is not implemented in Packet Tracer ;)

  18. Correct ITN PT Lab 10.4.3

When you download the Packet Tracer Lab 10.4.3, the instructions do not have IP addressing information in the table, so the students cannot complete the lab.

  20. Correction to ENSA curriculum

I believe there may be an out-of-date statement in the ENSA curriculum, section 2.2.12. It states "Note: At the time of this writing, Packet Tracer does not support the ip ospf network point-to-point command on Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. However, it is supported on Loopback interfaces."

I tried this in packet tracer 7.3.1 and 8.0.0 and it seems to work just fine on the gigabit interfaces, at least on the ISR4321
