Fix Course Templates
As a teacher, I teach the CCNA curriculum in 2 different ways.
1) In the HS, I teach the CCNA 1, 2 & 3 as separate courses.
2) In the College, I teach CCNA 1 & half of 2 as once course and the second half of CCNA 2 & CCNA 3 as another course. You need to create the links to exams in such a way that we can create our own course templates without breaking the link to the exam. I need to add content from book 2 into my first semester class along with all of CCNA…

Remove Activations by Instructor
Allow for Activations to be removed when all students have been deactivated. There is no reason to retain the entries that have been replaced.

fix the Last Login message
Not only is the date format wrong (9/12/2022 for September 12), and the time format (23:09 PM?), there is zero security benefit showing me the time I just logged in instead of the previous time.
Please make sure your platform is properly internationalized and show the previous log in time rather than the current one!

ability to change first name / last name
need to change my students first name and last name (from typo)
8 votesArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the suggestion. Students have the ability to update their first and last name when registering their account or after the account has been registered. We do understand typos can happen on accident, please work with the student to have them update.

Modify NETACAD Default Activation
So there is one less setup that has to be performed for a new class, modify the default activation setting for "All" Practice Exams. These exams are for the students to familiarize themselves with course topics by launching the exams "without" the instructor having to activate the these exams for all students. The Practice Exam grades are not a part of the grade computation so they should be activated all term. For those instructors that prefer them not to be activated, let them de-activate them. Please consider. Thank you.
7 votesThank you for your idea. At this time we will not be able to implement your suggestion. The final exams require activation to prevent premature assessment item exposure to students.

Packet Tracer for cellular devices
Ingles
Packet Tracer for cellular devices
Any Packet Tracer solution or tools for Smartphone, mobile or cellular devices that can be installed.
Cisco previously had a tool in the Apple Store and Google Play, they are not available. If you have a Packet Tracer solution or platform to use these tools from your cell phone, it would be of great help. The great advances in technology are aimed at mobile devices. It would be interesting if the Cisco, Netacad or Skillsforall platform could integrate the Packet Tracer tool for students and instructors who have resource limitations, they can navigate and…
7 votesArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedWe greatly appreciate your valuable input and suggestions. Cisco Packet Tracer (as is) is designed and works well on desktop platforms. Inclusion remains at the forefront of our priorities, and we are working to enhance the overall mobile learning experience across all our tools and platforms. While we are still in the process of making these transitions, we are optimistic about the possibilities and look forward to sharing updates with our instructor community in the future.

Report of student answers to exam questions by # of correct answers / # of total answers by question.
Seeing each question by % correct would make it very easy for instructors to see quickly as to what areas would benefit from additional classroom time or possibly draw attention to questions that aren't worded well

PC Hardware Simulation
I have several high school instructors that are again transitioning to remote learning and want to provide students with a PC hardware simulator for the ITEv7 course. Is there any way to support these remote learners in the ITE course

Commenting feature is missing
It has become quite difficult with the new system to provide comments and feedback on the files that the students submit as part of their assignments. The provided space to write comment is not useful. I would like to request if this feature is added back, since it existed in the previous platform before migration to Moodle. Commending and writing feedback should be made possible directly on the submitted file without downloading it. The instructor should be able to open the document online and write the comments and it should be automatically visible to students as soon has the comments…

PT Passwords should be in netacad, not in the community forum
An instructor asked where the password for PT activities for IT-E was, and I didn't know. Turns out it is in the Community Forum, but you have to search for it.
This seems a bit weird. Why would the community have the password? It seems to me it should be where instructors can easily access it.thanks so much
Karen
7 votesThanks for the feedback. The passwords are in the instructor PPTs and in the community forum. No plans to change this at this time.

Project Management Course
I would like to recommend that Cisco create a project management course. You could add this to your Business course offerings and it would benefit us all.

Preview "What Needs Grading"
It would be super helpful to have a notification area in Moodle that shows you what needs grading in your course. Like here:

Because the exams, inlcuding the final written exam, is out there...
Alter the exams from the ones readily available on the Internet.
Perhaps create a deep pool of questions and then have enough different seeds so that it would take a long time for a student to lookup the verbatim answer. Thank you for considering this.6 votesArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThe Curriculum and Assessment team is constantly reviewing the assessments and adding new content when needed/possible.

Instructors need to be able to provide feedback.
If I have to download a student's Word file to view it, I should be able to make comments on the file and then upload that as feedback for the student. The only way I see to do this now is to copy and paste the incorrect portion in the comments and then add my own comments to that. If I am missing something I would appreciate some feedback as another instructor on my campus is having the same issue.
6 votesArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for posting to Share Idea. Instructors can download the word file, add comments, save to computer, and than re-upload to NetAcad for the student. We will keep in mind other ideas and easier ways to do this in the future.

Integrate logon with Clever (or others).
Allow users to login with Clever, Google, or Office 365. The are three popular authentication methods being used by schools to give student a SSO experience.
6 votesArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the suggestion. We are looking into various options of authentication methods. We do not have any specific dates so we will archive this idea for now.

Add Score obtained by Student in Final Exam in Course Completion
In new experience, in order to complete an student you need to get to the Course Completion view.
In this view, usually you can see checked the required items the student has completed - usually Feddback or Feedback and Final Exam columns - .
When you hover the mouse over the completed activity for a student, it appears a pop-up showing when (date and time) the student completed this activity.
I will find useful if you can to the pop-up information the score obtained by student in the activity.
Thanks for your attention.
Best regards

Reinstate the build-a-switch-and-router-network.pksz Tutorial
The tutorial PT file build-a-switch-and-router-network.pksz was in CCNA1 version 7.01, but seems to have not been included in the version 7.02 curriculum. I enjoyed using this in class for students to practice basic configuration skills.
6 votesArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for posting to Share Idea. We are unable to implement bringing this back at this time. We do have something that might be similar for you in Chapter 10.4.4.

CCNAv7 Cisco Module Group exams and Cisco Final Exam - Questions and Answers are already available in the Internet
CCNAv7 was out on 2019/12/10. Today is 2020/1/29. Cisco module group exams and Cisco final exams - most questions and answers are already out in the Internet. For example, CCNA1 - the 400+ Cisco final exam questions and answers are out there already. Very disappointing. Anyone can search the Internet and obtain most of the questions and answers. It is very disappointing when an instructor or an institution wants to use these exams for assessment purposes. Something should be done to protect these exams.
