Branch Details
While enrolling students a column is required for specifying the branch, very difficulty to get get details and identifying studeet of a particular branch in a big group. when i export grade sheet if i have a column with branch details i will be able to separate them quickly and use it for references. We have mapped cisco course to many program so i take a class with many different branches. this facility could help / speed up the marking process.

CCNA
CCNA all 4 module should be in downloadable form. It is impossible for student to read online. Not only power point slides even whole course when we launch course that should be downloadable form

The Cisco Networking Academy curriculum has always been intended as an online program. Cisco Press does offer supplemental books for instructors and students which align to the CCNA courses.

Course Order of Appearance
In the new Academy interface, our courses are ordered based on favorites > status > start dates (with courses starting at a later date appearing earlier in our list of courses).
Regarding start dates, can you please make the courses that start at a later date appear later in the list, or towards the bottom, not the top.

change courses I am teaching to default in progress
Change default on courses I am teaching back to in progress instead of all courses. Either I have to change that each time or search for my current classes.
6 votesArchived ·AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) responded
You are correct the default view is set to All Courses. This can be changed using the filter option on the right. Once you change your view the system will remember this choice for the next time you log in to Cisco NetAcad.

Video Defined Page - tech definitions in a funny video
The most difficult part of learning technology is learning the jargon and vocabulary. I would like to add a Video Defined page at the beginning of each chapter like this:

Thank you for this feedback. Cisco continues to work on ways to make the curriculum and courses more flexible for instructors. Instructors are encouraged to add these types of videos to their course as they see appropriate. Cisco is not able to add this type of content to the curriculum at this time.

Repair import-export students list via CSV
I just exported a CSV from a Sem.1 Class, and imported it in a Sem.2 Class. The format of the file was claimed to be incorrect (Name longer than 72 chars, etc), so it did not work. Please fix it...

Fix: Assessment activations in Linux Essentials cannot be managed
Link "Manage Activations" in "Assessment Center" of the "Linux Essentials" course is inactive even if I create Assessment Activations. This is a bug from my point of view.
1 voteArchived ·AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) responded
Thank you for the suggestion. The Linux courses are created by our partner NDG and use their own assessment tools. In the future we will look to remove the Assessment Center from these courses to help reduce the confusion.

Abort button when importing contents into a course
It should be useful to have a button to "abort" a job when we use the import function in "settings" --> "import course content".
1 voteArchived ·AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) responded
Thank you for the suggestion. There are currently several steps for importing content into the classroom. At this time we will not look at implementing this idea. We will keep this in mind for future releases.

Export the grades with student notes column or include group name in to the grades
We are using student notes column to mentioned their group names. So it is really helpful if we can export the grades with that information. Else, please give an option to list their group information in the grades.

TA / Instructor in training role
It would be useful to be able to assign a staff member as a Teaching Assistant or Instructor-in-training with limited privileges provided.
Useful privileges would include:
- ability to look at the curriculum without being enrolled as a student
- ability to activate or reset/unlock assessments for students10 votesArchived ·AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) responded
Thank you for the suggestion. Staff members can not help with assessments in the courses at this time and we are unable to make that change. Staff members can help with many other areas of the course without being added as an instructor such as viewing the curriculum.

Block languages in the curriculum 6.0
In the new curriculum 6.0 the students can choose their own language.
But they can made the CCNA ownly in english (not in german)
It is not good to read the Chapters in german an made the CCNA in english.
So it is very important that the instuctor can choose a specific language.1 voteArchived ·AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) responded
Thank you for the suggestion. We will keep this in mind for future releases. Please keep in mind we did have suggestions from instructors to allow students to be able to switch languages easily in the curriculum. Allowing the instructor to make this choice is good but not something we can implement at this time.

Drop / Withdraw option added to roster
To be able to indicate a student dropped/withdrew from a class and the date.
Right now the student is either in the class roster, or delete from roster. But as a faculty member, if they withdraw, I need to keep grades to show what they did up to the point of withdraw. "Drop" Would be nice to have in the list.

Course Feedback Question
I would like to capture my students preferred method for configuring routers and switches: NetLab, Packet Tracer, physical equipment. I would also like to capture ease/difficulty for each of those methods. Would it be possible to add this to the Course Feedback assessment?
1 voteArchived ·AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) responded
Thank you for the idea. We recommend you create a quiz and use the survey feature to have the students answer these types of questions.

Include a lesson planner for High School Teachers
Please consider adding a lesson planner in canvas for high school teachers. This could include the date range of the Chapter, the objectives, and the ability to link Assignments, Quizzes and Exams. Many high school teachers have to submit lesson plans to supervisors and having this in Netacad's Canvas would be awesome!
