Weight chapter test differently
My original post which has been closed:
In the old academy we could give different weights to each chapter. I am only able to see where we can adjust the weight for all chapters and not individual chaptes.The answer received:
Hi Brian,
Under Assignments, click on Weight the final grade based on assignment groups. This way you can create separate assignment groups for each chapter (click on Add Assignment Group). The weight is placed on the group rather than the individual assignments. There are also tutorial availables (Program>NetSpace Tutorials. I hope this helps.

when somebody is trying to recover their user name or password, they should be able to type in their e-mail address as a way to identify themselves. If they forget their user name, there is no way to recover their password.

Create widget for favourite classes on main page
As instructor, i can see many classes in my teach list. I want to mark some classes as favourite and see them in the top of the list or in some favourite zone.

Time spent in a module/chapter
It would be nice to be able to see how long a student spent on the curriculum. Like how long they spent in the chapter, if they did the activity correctly. Right now, I'm going to ask my students to take screen shots to verify that they did the activity, but it would be nice if that was a field in the system.

Calendar options
There needs to be a way to set the classes that show up in the calendar. I have a list of classes (some old ones) that show in the area to check for displaying in the calendar. I would like to see only current classes. Is there a way to close out old classes so they do not show?
Also, between the new and old calendar there seems to be an issue. I was posting in the old one and the students were in the new one and their assignments were showing the next day.

Student's profile pic should display in Discussion forum.
Student's have the ability to upload a picture or avatar, but it does not show up when they post in the discussion forum. I imagine the feature is already built into the product, please enable it.

I need to see all classesand activity in my ASC Domain
When I get calls from instructors that need help it is necessary and useful if I could see all classes, instructors and enrolled students. My Manages tab is useless as far as I am concerned and also not up to date.
The benefit is that it would unload the helpdesk and make my ASC add value to the ASC fee that local academies that pay each year.

Hi Dan,
In order to delete a class, you need to go into your course home page, click on settings and there is an option on the right to Permanently Delete this Course. I hope this helps!

CCAI Certification Comeback
With the closing of NetAcad, instructors lost the ability to request CCAI certification as it is being replaced with Recognition program.
I believe the two can co-exist.
I propose that CCAI should be reinstated as a valid certification because it represents a status for all instructors, regardless of their success in the field, as all instructors that are eligible for CCAI have, at least, valid CCNA and at least one semester of teaching experience, which, in my perspective, is fairly enough to reward them.
Recognition program should still operate and award best instructors (best of the best), but it should…

Thanks for your suggestion on the CCAI. At this time we have decided to end of life the CCAI program and instead reinvest in the Academy and Instructor recognition program.

Typing in www.netspace.com (a logical try) brings one to a pseudo spam site http://www.ser.com/ which even askes for cookies as netspace.
Grab the full set of similar URLs to prevent issues.

Instructors with two accounts
For some reason I have two instructor accounts. I am associated with two Academies. Based on Help Desk there is currently no way to merge both accounts. For organization purposes we should be able to have one account and select the Academy where we are teaching the course. Currently I have to create the course under academy 1 even when I will teach the class in academy two. Confusing and not organize.
Please merge both accounts and ties to the academies with teach.

Create announcements for several classes
It is perfect, that new announcement is now sent by mail too. I recommend add possibility to create announcements for several classes, where particular instructor is an primary or secondary instructor, or the best… to be able create announcements for several classes inside particular academy. So… check box could be added, where instructor can select which classes should announcement be addressed to. In actual state, I have to enter several classes to do this thing, and copy paste one announcement in several classes, so it is not very efficient. Thanks.
