Treat Ungraded as 0s
This still does not work as the default. It remembers my choice to leave this checkmarked, but from time to time it forgets and I have to turn it back on. Not only does it do this to me, but it does this for my students in their gradebook giving them a false impression of what their score really is for the class (regardless of what I select in my gradebook). It should be checkmarked by default or give the instructor the ability to turn it on by default when the class is created.
I don't even get this option to begin with. Why would any instructor ever give credit to a student for doing nothing? Do nothing: Get an A. What purpose am I missing here?
I have a few instructors in my ASC complaining to me about this.

I want to support changing this as the default position as similarly many users in my ASC comment on it. It seems a strange option to have at all, never mind making it the default position.
And I was wondering why it appeared to randomly revert back, so thanks for clarifying that. Now I can inform my supported CAs to reset it whenever there's an enrollment change. That makes changing the default setting all the more imperative.
