Assessment Activation - more options needed
The Activation tool would be much more user friendly if the following options were available:
modify an existing activation (such as change the start/end date/time or change the duration of each attempt)
bulk activations need the option to change duration of each attempt from 1:00 to whatever is desired
Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your feedback. We understand and agree with your comment, but at this time we will be unable to implement a solution to allow for modification of existing activation dates/times. You can delete and recreate the activation or create a new second activation if you would like to extend the exams availability.
For your second bullet point, as previously mentioned, you will want to set up an Activation Profile and set the Duration to whatever you want in there. When you go to bulk-activate exams, you can then check the box ‘Apply Activation Profile’ and it will change the settings to the personalized settings you made on your activation profile.

The changing of the start and end dates is mainly to correct any activation errors or just to extend the allowed period of that bulk task.
The option to change the allowed duration for each exam (change from 1h to whatever) in bulk is essential, like Austin Lee and Marco Paganini explained.
About the benefits, just imagine for once, that you activated different exams for different students. It looks to me a lot easier to change the current ones than to have them deactivated and do it all over again.

Hi Kimberly,
I think there is a misunderstanding on the "duration" of assignments in the Activation tool.
Many users asked to introduce a field for the selecion of the duration, different from the
default of 1 hour, in the Activation tool. You understood "the window when the exam can
be started": this is already present (in days, hours and minutes). BUT what is missing is the
possibility to select the duration of the exam itself, after it is started, as it was in the past, i.e.
30', or 45', or 90', etc...

No, I want all attempts to be 3 hours. I can easily set this if I activate one exam at a time, but do not see the duration option in the bulk activation tool.
As far as the activation profile, I do not see a duration setting at all. I only see an "Activation Window" and "Maximum Number of Attempts" along with a few other non-related options.

Hi Austin,
You can change the duration by using the Advanced Activation. Assessments can be activated for up to 90 days. Another way to do this is by going into your Activation Profile (from the Activation Tool), you can set your duration to 2 hours (or more) and assessments will then default to this time for future activations. There is a tutorial available by clicking on Program from the NetSpace home page, then NetSpace Tutorials, choose New Activation Tool. This will take you through everything. Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thanks,

No, when trying to activate multiple assessments at once (say chapters 1-3), you do not have the option to change the duration of each attempt from 1:00. I normally set them to at least 2 hours, but that option is grayed out when doing a batch activation.
