Voucher Delay is Painful
Hi early this year my students had to wait 3 weeks for their certification exam voucher. This was quite frustrating since we expected we could still receive the voucher immediately upon request as in NetAcad. I advise my students to take the Certification exam within 2 weeks of completing the course so that the course is fresh in their minds. The Help Chat advised me the system was changing due to issues with people getting vouchers by fraud.
I just read in the Global Update: “The voucher processing time has been reduced and will take effect for all voucher requests after 23 July 2013. Following the submission of a voucher request and prompt validation of the requester’s email address, exam discounts will be available and ready to use within two weeks”
Sorry but this is way too slow and the processing time has increased from what we had in NetAcad. I understand fraud is bad but surely it can be managed better than having to suffer this delay with vouchers. Some of my students are now not waiting for the voucher and just paying the full price I guess this is better for the finances of Cisco who charge such and exorbitant price $345 Australian Dollars for the CCNA. I know VUE gets a very small portion of this.
My current class finishes Exploration 4 on September 18th. Some were hoping to do the old CCNA exam. With this delay there is no hope that is going to happen with a voucher
