Bring back the Feedback for exams for students
The exam feedback from the old system was invaluable for the students to be able to see what areas they were having difficulty with. They could restudy those areas before retaking the test. If they see the answers, they don't learn anything except the answer.
Hello,
The Feedback for Exams for Students is available. If you uncheck the Student View Correct Answer, the item feedback for the incorrect answers are shown. This will need to be done for each assessment or this can be made default in your Activation Profile. Please let me know if you have questions. Thank you!

In the old interface, we had the option of exposing item information (actual questions, including correct answer). We NEVER used it. It simply encouraged memorization, rather than inquiry and understanding. We want the old style of Feedback, which identifies the page in the curriculum from which the question was drawn, and encourages targeted, and perhaps supplemental, reading and research. Formative Feedback, helping to shape inquiry and understanding, rather than encouraging memorization.

Yes. It would be nice to have the option to just give the students the sections where the test question objective came from. I would like to still have the option to show the question and right answer but have that as a separate option.

The old netacad site allowed us to release the review option when everyone had completed the test. This reduced cheating & initially gave the student a level of feedback to readup whilst they revised for a resit without short circuiting straight to the answers. We need this option back.

I think that new version is more useful and convenient in many cases but it will be better if there was option for instructor to control process. That is option to turn off and on for full view of right answer or only themes need for repetition.

First, this is an URGENT need. In both CNAMS AND Netspace, DURING THE ACTIVATION PROCESS we can turn off student item review. This is done to minimize cheating in several scenarios including allowing students multiple exam attempts. In the CNAMS we could go to the gradebook AFTER all students had completed the quiz and select a checkbox to allow student item review. This ability to turn on Student Item Review in the Gradebook is not available in Netspace.
This process allows students to learn from their mistakes, without opening up the questions for copying while the quiz is still available.

I would like to see the old style feedback - where it showed the TI section number of the material they got wrong at the end of the exam - without giving them the actual question and correct answer.
I prefer to give students a 2nd chance at the exam to improve their score and if I show them the actual question and answer - it defeats that.

Specifically, The current netacad site allows an instructor to turn on student item review for an assessment AFTER everyone has completed that assessment. This is a handy way to allow review and minimize cheating.
The netacad.com beta site seems to only allow the instructor to turn on student item review WHEN ACTIVATING the assessment. Is there any way to turn it on after the assessment has been completed? If not, please add this feature. It is very important. -

Maybe you could make that a choice in the settings for the exams? I don't normally let my students retest and my students learn a lot from seeing what they missed with the correct answer because we then go over it and review. Thanks!
