Website Speed
Speed to the website is much slower than the previous cisco academy. It can take up to 30-35 seconds just to get to the start screen. I have tried on multiple networks with high speed internet. Assessments will be a real problem if this continues
Hello,
Thank you again for your patience “Website Speed” issue.
We have improved site performance (website speed) by doing the following:
•Streamlining DataBase queries.
•Streaming assets like images, PDFs and large downloadable content directly from the cloud.
•Enabling caching on the loading of some non-time-sensitive data.
Please also help us get the word out to other instructors that Cisco NetSpace site functionality and site performance works best when users use the two current versions of the following supported web browsers:
•Mozilla Firefox
•Google Chrome
•Internet Explorer
Where possible we recommend using Firefox and Chrome browsers for the best site experience, and don’t forget to enable cookies and JavaScript PDF reader in your browser settings.
Thank you,
Kimberly

I need to access NetSpace on my Mac, iPad and iPhone. There should be a support for Safari!

Kim, thank you for your response. Are any of the three browsers you listed supported on Android or Apple iOS devices?

I agree with Edgar. If Cisco sales ran the same as the academy they would be broke.

Hi Edgar,
I apologize for your frustration. Can you please give me some more information? Which pages are slow for you? NetSpace home, course pages or all of them?
Thank you,
Kimberly -

Students are still having problems with the speed of Netspace and loging in. Their Instructor (me) is becoming excedingly frustrated with the time it takes to grade assignments. Will the speed issue be addressed before the cut off date for the Academey Connection?

For comparison of performance, I used two identical systems, side by side, to access both Academy Connection and NetSpace at the same time. I accessed gradebooks and curriculum (similar processes for both) and I discovered NetSpace is a CPU hog (usage/performance is constantly peaking) compared to Academy Connection. Memory usage is about the same for both.
Hope this info helps. -

website constantly lags or is very slow for me. I'm in Madison, WI. We have a 1Gig connection to the Internet via University of Wisconsin Madison, which is a major node on the internet.

I'm using IE and it takes forever, sometimes never to try and add new students to an existing course.

I can confirm the same situation as Dianne told - I need typewrite password twice. The first time I get an error message "Wrong username + password" the second - normal enter. Firefox 15 browser.

Please address the response issues. I have tired IE 9 , 10 and Firefox. There is little difference between the various browsers.
Thanks

I am having the same problem--both with IE and Firefox. It gets frustrating with a classroom full of students impatiently waiting.

This seems to be a problem particularly for me when signing/logging in - have to type my password twice (regularly) - then the server catches up.
