Fillable PDF Forms for Labs
Please continue to create the form-fillable PDF forms for all of the lab assignments within the curricula. The current version of CCNA and CCNA Security curricula include downloadable PDF forms for each lab assignment. These are invaluable in grading. The fields that students fill out as they work through a lab can be highlighted and easily found and graded. Without the fillable form PDFs, we must return to paper-and-pencil versions for grading. The last three chapters in the CCNA Security course do not include fillable PDF versions of the lab documents, and I understand the curriculum team does not intend…

Keep students from being able to go back and forth on final exams questions
When we have students taking exams and sitting close together. As they can go back and forth between questions, they can share the answers. The suggestion would be to not allow this back and forth or to grey out the screen of the questions when they are answered.
It says also in the advanced activation that they are randomized but sitting behind students, I noticed they have same questions for same question numbers.6 votesThanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately we will not be able to implement at this time.

Due dates by Modules/Chapters
I want to be able to set assignment due dates by Modules/Chapters. It is very cumbersome to set due dates on every assignment, quiz and exam.

Hiding course contents
If a hide a module (in the Module menu) unpublishing it, the student can still access that chapter content, simply opening any chapter in a published module and browsing the course, when he has in the browser bar https://static-course-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/...
There should be a way to effectively prevent a student from accessing the whole AWS course contents.

Convert CyberOps VMs to VMware Compatible
I have a problem with the CyberOps course regarding the VMs. Currently the VMs are based on VirtuablBox. The problem with this on a campus netowrk is that there is no way to prevent the student from changing the network adapter from host only (private network) to Bridged. Bridged allows the VM to act a host on the LAN. Allowing students to fire up Kali linux on a campus LAN is a major NO-NO.
I do have access to vSphere (VMware virtualization) where we can alter permissions on the VMs so the students cannot change the network adapters. This would…

Update lab images for Windows 10
Since Windows 7 is no longer going to be supported in 2020, a lot of schools are moving to Windows 10. The current labs for CCNA curriculum have images that are from Windows 7. A significant number of students are going to be lost when the lab images don't match what they see on their screens because they are using Windows 10 machines.
1 voteThanks for the suggestion. CCNA curriculum will be updated with Windows 10 in the next course revision. We will ensure this is completed before the end of support for Windows 7.

Allow Instructors to lock assessments with a password
Is it possible to put passwords on a an assessment so that students can not access it without the password. At our college we have a testing center and I would my Cisco students to take their exams in the testing center. If we could lock the exam with a password then I could give that password to the testing center and students could only take / unlock the exam at the testing center vs other locations. This would help reduce cheating
4 votesArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the suggestion. We are not able to implement this idea at this time. The Assessment Center does allow exams to be activated for short periods of time. In addition, you can edit an assignment to only allow the assessment to be taken in specific date ranges. Hopefully this can help for now.

Make Networking Essentials a self-enrol course on Netacad
As Networking Essentials is not certification focussed and organisations using it are focussed on engagement, development and mastery via this introductory concepts course.
Could we have 'self-enrol' added to the add students section to enable a more scalable and flexible offer.

Make assessment questions more closely reflect the chapter content.
Each Cisco exam seemingly has at least one question where the answer does not match what the chapter content states.
Examples: In CCNA2 R&S Chapter 3 Exam there's a question regarding using the RIP network. The chapter states the command enables RIP advertisements on interfaces that belong to the specified network. On the exam the answer is "it identifies the interfaces that belong to a specified network." Identifying a network is much different than enabling RIP to advertise across an interface.
In Chapter 4 Exam there is a question regarding the identification of the destination address of a broadcast frame.…

Assessment answers need to have only one distinguishable correct answer
CCNA2 R&S - Chapter 4 exam has question regarding Layer 2 Switch functionality. Yet again there are two answers that contain two almost indistinguishable answers from each other.
"learns the port assigned to a host by examining the destination MAC address""determines which interface is used to forward a frame based on the destination MAC address"
All proper assessment models state that there should be only one distinguishable proper answer. Nearly every Cisco assessment contains at least one question that has two answers with slightly different wording that can be misinterpreted to mean the same thing. Incorrect answers should contain…

CyberSecurity Labs and VMs
I would like to have the Virtual Machine used in the labs for CSE 1.1 converted to an ovf file to be imported into vmWare or vCenter and NOT ONLY VirtualBox. I use VMware instead of VB and the current ova file will not import into VMware/vCenter.
I would suggest that this be done for ALL VirtualBox labs (CyberOps as well).4 votesThank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, we will not be able to implement at this time.
The following information may be helpful as a workaround.
For reference, the video below shows how to do import OVA files into VMware Workstation and WMware Fusion.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiZMB0tLgLgNote: The ask is to import VirtualBox OVAs into VMWare vCenter (a cloud-like VMWare environment). The video shows how to import VirtualBox OVAs into VMWare Workstation and VMWare Fusion but since VMWare VM format can be used in any VMWare environment, the the methods shown in the video should work for vCenter & vSphere

Snap version of Packet Tracer
Packet Tracer is depended on older
libpng12
. Ubuntu and more-up-to-date systems uselibpng16
. The problem is thatusrmerge
becomes a conflict forlibpng12
, so we can't run PT. A solution for this could be a Snap version so that PT can still continue to use older libraries.6 votesArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for this feedback. We have sent this information directly to the Packet Tracer team. They will look to implement in a future version.

problem to load packet tracer exams
It will be better if you (cisco) develop your own tools for the pachet tracer because many student find difficulties to load online packet tracer exams .
I configure java and flash player but most of computers can't load packet tracer exams. thank you very much.1 voteArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the suggestion. The team is looking into alternatives for using Java with Packet Tracer assessments and flash is no longer required. Unfortunately we will not be able to remove Java from the packet tracer assessments in the next 6 months so we are archiving this idea.

View inactive users
Once a user has been deleted (due to the above reasons), the system shoudl not default back to page 1 of user list, but stay in its current location.
Already available: Users who have the NetAcad Lead role within their organization should have the ability have a list of students who's email are not verified, or have never logged to the system, so that database can be kept clean.

Sort Acadamy User list
Users who have the NetAcad Lead role within their organization should have the ability to sort the user list.
1 voteArchived · AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) respondedThank you for the idea. We are not able to implement this suggestion at this time. However, NetAcad Contacts can export the user list to a CSV file. This would allow you to sort and filter the list as needed.
