If the exam (e.g. final) is open for a short time (e.g. 60 minutes - default period for final exam) and a student submission fails beyond this period (say, e.g. after 70 minutes, which is still withing the default period for passing the final test), in Manage assessment there is no option to re-enable incomplete attempt (this is vaailable only for currently open exams), It would help much is some cases if this option existed.
