1. Introduce Xapi

   Hello,

   in our university, we test the performance monitoring of our students (badges, ...) in the Learning Management System with the Xapi (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Experience_API). Will Netacad support these Xapi?

   Thank you for the suggestion. We will not be implementing Xapi at this time. We will keep this in mind for future releases.

2. Suggestions and Request

   I would like to bring this to your attention that the current system ,the instructors cannot rest passwords for students as per the previous system the way it used to be.

   And currently we have an outreach that we are carrying out,were we are dealing with the community who need our support and it’s in rural and some urban areas where internet and computers are still for sharing and some of the students are still computer illiterate . So I humbly request the developer and Cisco Technical Team to return THE RESET PASSWORD LINK FOR THE INSTUCTORS due to the level at which our countries are developing and adapting in Technology is different. And the students are slow LEARNERS.

   Also the mailing page, where Instructors could communicate or send messages to students for any update or easy accessibility should be returned.
   Then this is to my observation that also the current system. Shows all the previous classes that were complete and were in history , where students had finished the course and had done all the course feed back and the finals. But the current system is showing them as incomplete and for this case we don’t know where we shall get this students.
   Please help us ASAP on these issues before the Cisco quarter is ends. Because the metric score will not look good for our Academies.

3. Integration of wire shark to newer version of packet tracer

   It would be very good for instructors and students to simulate networks configured in packet tracer on wire shark

4. How to show last and first names

   Users' names should be shown in the format:
   Lastname, FirstName
   and should be sortable.
   Right now users are shown in the format:
   Firstname Lastname
   and are not sortable
   I'm referring to the "Course details" page and to the Gradebook, from "I'm Teaching" view, but also to Users page from "I'm managing".

   Thank you for the suggestions. We are continually looking for ways to improve the system. This enhancement request is not something we can implement at this time but will be considered in the future.

5. Packet Tracer Log in issue.

   Thus, I am asking if it is possible for the NetAcad Support team to post something to the NetAcad alert page informing the CISCO NetAcad user community of the cause and solution to this PT log-in issue?

   The instructor is unable to log into Netacad and this has had to go to the Netacad Tech team. They did tell him that he is not the only teacher with this issue /and there are students also

7. Link to messages on main page

   There used to be a link to NetAcad's inbox when clicking my profile name. Now I need to load a course and then click inbox. Can a link be added to the "I'm learning"/"I'm teaching" page?

8. Submit Google Docs in Assignments

   There used to be a way for students to submit Google Docs and Slides in the File Upload option of an assignment. I can no longer access this feature this year. Please add this feature back to the assignment interface.

   Thank you for the suggestion.

   Some improvements have been made for Packet Tracer 7.3. Individuals will not have to re-authenticate if they are logged in and taking a PTSA/PTMO exam.

   They will take this type of feedback into consideration in the next release of Packet Tracer.

10. News and Events

    The new "News and Events" menu has 3 sub-menus: Students, Instructors, Partners. Many times, the same news is tagged with more than one scope (Partners + Instructors, for example).
    If I read that news under "Partners" and the news is published under more categories, it should be marked as read, automatically, also under "Instructors" and "Students".

    Thanks for the suggestion. The system already works this way. However, sometimes marketing creates a similar looking article for the different audiences with different details.

    Thank you for the suggestion. Students and Instructors have the ability to request the Letters of Merit. At this time there are no plans to make it required for instructors to approve allowing students to be able to request their own Letters of Merit.

14. Please let us decide the order for Course listing

    I see other Ideas are there on this topic. I opened a course, which disappeared in the list of our 300+ courses, and I only can find it by searching its name. Please let us choose the list order, i.e. by alphabet, or by starting date, or by Academy, or by language, or by manifold criteria.

    I think it would be easier for us instructors to get the available new courses when creating a course in alphabetical order, as we could find a particular course much faster.

    Please use the search box on the create course wizard to quickly find the course you want.

17. cannot delete students

    Dear Sirs,
    after the transition to single-side-on there is no button under I'm Managing and then users to delete students anymore.

    Users can be removed from an academy from the “I’m Managing” tab. Click on “Edit Role” on the “Users” tab and remove all roles for a user. This will remove them from the academy.
