Integration with "Safe Exam Browser"
Moodle 3.9 supports using the open-source software "Safe Exam Browser" as an option to use a "Lock Down" style browser for taking exams. This is similar to the "Lock Down Browser" that can be integrated with Blackboard and other LMS', except that it's free. This would allow for more secure assessment delivery, as the browser takes over the screen. https://www.safeexambrowser.org

Managing Assessment Exams
In Assessment Center and Managing Activation's, the ability to remove previous Activation's which have been replaced was omitted/overlooked. When an activation was entered with incorrect dates and then subsequently re-entered with new dates, the ability to remove the erroneous activation should have been incorporated at the outset prior to implementation of the application. The purpose is to keep the display clean by removing older activation's that have been replaced and no longer needed. Alternatively, the ability to change the end date for obsolete activation's could be incorporated so they are removed by the application automatically rather than having to wait…

Number of group of modules
When you want to see the Active group module Exams, It does not appear de number of the gropu exam, just the name. It is more flexible that we can see the number of the modules

Default settings for quizs and exams!
Students are allowed to see the correct answers everywhere. This requires additional time from the instructor to turn off it.

Outcome reports
Is there a way to set up outcome reports? Outcome reports are required for student achievement reporting to related to program objectives.

Individual Chapter Exams must be enabled
Chapter Exams are the best option to assess the students learning. Group Exams are not effective and does not reflect the student learning behavior.

Assignments Page
When instructors click on the Assignments link we view the assignments page.
We see a Submission column and a Grade column. There should be a Graded column with the number of graded assignments so that we can compare the number of Graded assignments to the number of Submitted assignments so that we do not have to go into each assignment to see how many need to be graded.

Assessment Settings
We need the ability back to access exam settings so we can set a minimum passing score, timing settings to add dates to calendar, set completion, and set grade to complete (check mark) instead of a numeric score.

View New Submission Icons in Gradebook without having to click on assignment
When I viewed my gradebook in Canvas, I could easily see if there were new assignments submitted for individual students. Now the gradebook columns look "blank" and I have to click on the individual assignments to see if there are new submissions. Is it possible to add back in the icon that shows if a student has submitted work. It is helpful when students submit late work so I can see I need to grade their assignment.
Also, when I type in a grade of zero it shows up as - in the gradebook. It's confusing when reviewing work to…

Instructors need to be able to provide feedback.
If I have to download a student's Word file to view it, I should be able to make comments on the file and then upload that as feedback for the student. The only way I see to do this now is to copy and paste the incorrect portion in the comments and then add my own comments to that. If I am missing something I would appreciate some feedback as another instructor on my campus is having the same issue.

Thank you for posting to Share Idea. Instructors can download the word file, add comments, save to computer, and than re-upload to NetAcad for the student. We will keep in mind other ideas and easier ways to do this in the future.

mandatory items to make available
presently feedback and final exam is shown here is there any way i can make some item mandatory like module exams, pT test etc. to appear here on completion i can approve students completion.;

Thank you for the idea. We are not able to add additional items to the Course Completion page. However, we have added restrictions to topics that may help you make items mandatory.

Still can't create Activity categories. In the previous system this was a feature. This is a critical feature for my classes.

Individual Chapter Exams
Periodic assessment is crucial to good instruction. Grouping the assessments into blocks of 4 chapters is less than optimal. Often, the content of those 4 chapters may cover multiple weeks on class time. Assessing student mastery that long after delivery is less valid. There should be an option for single chapter assessments.

IT Essentials FastTrack Pretest
As we increase our remote learning classes and no end in sight with COVID-19 there is a need to do some pretests for IT Essentials Fast Track for instructor that claim they have a CompTIA A+ cert or sufficient knowledge to bypass the training. I proposes that IT Essentials be changed to allow an instructor candidate take the IT Essential Final without having to take the course feedback. Then move the feedback as a post-Final Test requirement in order to be accredited. That way if the instructor fails the test he has to take the training.

Thank you for the suggestion. As the instructor training requirement will be going removed at the end of August 2021, we will not be implementing any changes to IT Fast Track.

course platform is good. but grading environment is very confusing and complicated; please make it as simple as possible

Because the exams, inlcuding the final written exam, is out there...
Alter the exams from the ones readily available on the Internet.
Perhaps create a deep pool of questions and then have enough different seeds so that it would take a long time for a student to lookup the verbatim answer. Thank you for considering this.6 votesArchived ·AdminSandra Ray

The Curriculum and Assessment team is constantly reviewing the assessments and adding new content when needed/possible.

Returning the attempts dropdown box
During activation of the Final Exam in INT v7 the drop down box that determins the number of attempts at the exam has been removed. This allows the student to take 3 attempts at the final. I recommend returning the dropdown box to give instructors granular control of exam attempts.

Thank you for the suggestion. Instructors have the ability to set up activation profiles for their courses. This can be used to limit the number of attempts a student has on an exam and can be used for the Final.
