   Thank you for posting to Share Idea.  Individuals can graduate students from the Course Completion page.  This link is in the Grades section of your course.  I recommend reviewing the FAQs for more information.  Instructors and Facilitators can graduate students.

2. Student Accommodations

   I may have missed this, but we are required to allow students certain accommodations in class. (Professors: The accommodations outlined are not optional and must be provided under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Section 504; and the Americans with Disabilities Act.) This is usually in the way of additional time on exams. Time-and-a-half or double-time are the most common.

   I cannot find any way to do this in NetAcad.

   There should be a way to allow this per student, which applies to all exams in a course.

   Instructors have the ability to change the length of time a student has to take an assessment by using the Advanced Activation feature.  You can also create an activation profile to set up an exam duration.

3. Let students colaborate on modul exams

   One of my accemeies suggest making an option on module exams so it does NOT randomize questions.
   This way students can do the module exam in small groups, to motivate them to discuss and describe their understanding to each other. They learn and remember a lot from these discussions.

   Thank you for posting to Share Idea.  Instructors have the ability to turn off the randomized question setting when they use Advanced Activation mode.  You can also do this in the Instructor Activation Profile.

5. Grade Column under Assignments Link

   I have contacted Moodle and they have told me that once logged into a course there is an “Activities box” in the upper right corner and inside of that there is an “Assignments link”. I use that Assignments Link regularly for grading the assignments.

   Moodle told me that there are Submission and Grade columns at the far right. I see those as well. The Submission column shows the number of assignments that have been submitted. Moodle says that their system also shows how many submissions have been graded or are left to grade in the “Grade” column as well.

   In the Cisco Netacad courses that I have been using on the Moodle platform the last few semesters I have seen the number of submissions and if I grade only a few student assignments I never see a number show up in the “Grade” column at all. I only see a dash “-“ in that column.

   Is this a feature that was disabled by accident? How can that feature be activated so that it will help speed up the Cisco Networking Academy instructors grading process more quickly as we have many other tasks to complete as well?

   It appears that all other references to this topic in the past have been archived but it would be very useful to have. We had this feature in the Canvas platform and it is available in Moodle as well.

8. Add module numbers in Assessment Center - activation

   The only name of module groups is not clear enough to select the right assessment to activate. Please add the module numbers too (i.e. 7-10) !!!

   Having a tool that scan a folder for PKA files and pull the user profile and completion percentage out would be a huge asset for instructors!

    At a quick glance I can see how many submissions for each assignment that I have to grade on the Assignments page. I noticed nothing ever changes on the Grade column.

    However, after grading a few assignments there could be additional submissions. If there are 10 students and I graded 7 assignments one time, when I go back to the assignments page again it does not give me a quick overview of how many submission need grading in the Grade column versus how many have been submitted in the Submission column.

    As an instructor I have to go into each assignment to see if there are any new submissions that need to be graded at a quick glance on the Assignments Page without going into each assignment.

    If the Grade column showed how many submissions needed grading within the Assignments page that would be a great help.

    Please allow to customize activation beginning time while using preconfigured activation profile(s). Currently it takes only current time and puts it as beginning time. Therefore I usually cannot use Default Activation as it does not allow customize beginning time.

12. multiple activation profiles

    Please allow create multiple activation profiles. Currently only one is possible but several different exams can be done. Would be useful to create appropriate activation profiles also. Besides, when changed activation profile time window to 7 days, then when tried to create new activation with using previously changed activation profile, it took 1 day less than 7 days and could not change it. Only when did not use activation profile, I could choose 7 days. Used Advanced Activation choice as this gave an option to choose different starting time than current.

13. Please make "Instructor Must Approve Additional Attempts" as configurable option (again)

    Please make "Instructor Must Approve Additional Attempts" as configurable option for final chapter (1-9, 10-14, 1-14) exams, e.g. IT Essentials course but may apply also for other courses. It was so earlier times (e.g. 2021 spring). Now is serious regression and makes a lot of hassle for students and instructor. Had chat conversation with your support and only reason was enforced "Secured Activations". I would say, that such enforcement does not increase security in no way but will cause lots of issues. As students can do these exams up to 7 days, thay all do that in own time. Then they have to wait until instructor will open next attempt. But time was 7 days and this will reduce as instructor may not be able so quickly react by every student's notification. Then students have to communicate each in own time with instructor to reopen next attempt. You may imagine, what a mess there will be. I understand, that sometimes it is useful but it should be decided by instructor and not forcibly enabled regardless of activation profile setting. I remember clearly, that in 2021 spring there was no such issue. This is serious regression and does not increase security in no way. If instructor has decided to give more than 1 attempt, then there should be freedom to decide, how these attempts are arranged.

14. extend practice finals

    Make all practice finals have 90 day limits and up to 40 attempts. It is strarnge that practice finals are limited t 7 days and 3 or 6 attempts, let them practice all needed.

18. Report of student answers to exam questions by # of correct answers / # of total answers by question.

    Seeing each question by % correct would make it very easy for instructors to see quickly as to what areas would benefit from additional classroom time or possibly draw attention to questions that aren't worded well

    What's old is new again. This popular request was denied without an explanation so it's being resubmitted. If you're not going to do this the instructor community which is wasting time because of bad UI should get more of an explanation than "we aren't going to do this at this time". If you truly do not care about the time being wasted by instructors please say so.

    Since version 7.0 of the CCNA courses came out the module numbers do not show on the assessment server pages (create and manage activations). The assessments do not appear in any order that makes sense either. This means that when activating or managing an assessment I need to go back to the main page of the course and find the name of the assessment under the list of modules and then go to the assessment page and find that assessment.

    This is a UX disaster! Really, when working with multiple assessments it wastes a considerable amount of time flipping back and forth between the course homepage and the assessment server. Over the time of each course this easily wastes 1-2 hours of time. Clearly the system needs improvement.

    What's old is new again. This popular request was denied without an explanation so it's being resubmitted. If you're not going to do this the instructor community which is wasting time because of bad UI should get more of an explanation than "we aren't going to do this at this time". If you truly do not care about the time being wasted by instructors please say so.

    Thank you for the suggestion.  We have researched this and we are unable to implement.  We recommend users activate exams from the links in main page for assessments.  This will show the exam name at the top of the page including the module numbers as opposed to using the Assessment Center.  

    
    

20. the interface is horrific

    gradebook for example, cannot scroll right to see all assessments. headers do not stay on the screen, they disappear when you scroll down to see more students. it is beyond ridiculous and just frustrating how whomever designed it, has no idea about user interface/usability. launching quizzes is in 10 places, activations, deadlines, just a total mess, nothing makes sense, every instructor that teaches with us is scratching their heads, we have to make video manuals to teach others your ridiculous interface. can you please delegate further development to anyone who has a clue? thanks.
